The Most Awesome Cars from Car Cafe 2017

15th Sep 2017

It's been another incredible year of cars at Car Café, from some brand-new supercars to vintage classics. If you didn't manage to attend, or even if you did, we've rounded up the top ten pics from our events all over the country in 2017.

1. Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport World Record Edition

The incredible Bugatti Veyron Super Sport joined us at Nottingham's Car Café in June of this year. The weather was perfect, gleaming sunshine, with 168 cars attending in total.

Although there had been rumours on social media of the Veyron visiting Car Café that morning, but car enthusiasts were left eagerly anticipating its arrival until around 9am when it finally appeared.

The Bugatti Veyron is a sports car, designed and developed in Germany by Volkswagen Group and can reach a whopping 268mph - it was even recognised by Guinness World Records as the fastest street-legal car in the world.

It's safe to say, as soon as it arrived, the crowds flocked around to take pictures and stand in awe of its absolute beauty - a real treat for all that attended.

2. Aston Martin DB5

At June's Nottingham Car Cafe, visitors were astounded for a second time when an Aston Martin DB5, arguably the most famous Bond car ever, drove in straight after the Bugatti.

Parked just behind the Veyron, visitors' mouths dropped at the sight of this classic beauty. The DB5 was released in 1963 and most famously appeared in the James Bond film, Goldfinger, a year after.

In the 60s, the DB5 was a real advance for motor engineering, with an enlarged all aluminium engine and a new ZF five-speed transmission, meaning it could propel to 145mph.

June's event has certainly gone down as one of the most breath-taking of the year - two incredible, rare, very expensive cars for the price of one!

3. Lamborghini Huracan Coupe

August's Car Café in Nottingham was another show stopping event, as we were joined by a stunning, uniquely wrapped, Lamborghini Huracan. The wrap colour was different from all angles, which only enhanced how incredible it was to see the supercar in person.

Released in 2014, the Huracan took over the leading sales and most produced car, the Gallardo. The 5.2-litre, V10, engine bolts the Lamborghini Huracan C from 0-62mph in 3.2 and although its handling is light, it is impeccably precise.

The £160,000 car turned many heads at August's Car Café,  as people flocked to ask the driver questions and get pictures of the stunning exterior. Some visitors were even lucky enough to listen to the roar of the supercar's revs.

4. McLaren 675LT Spider

At the same event as the amazing Lamborghini Huracan, we were lucky enough to see a very rare McLaren 675LT 'Longtail' Spider, one of only 500 made.

The 675LT is only the second McLaren to wear the LT badge and with the Spider, manufacturers at McLaren concentrated on increased power, enhanced aerodynamics and lightweight components.

With the ability to accelerate from 0-62mph in just 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 203mph, the 675LT is one of the fastest vehicles to attend a Car Café - a truly magical moment.

As people crowded round the stunning motor, the owner was more than happy to answer any questions about one of the rarest cars we've seen at Car Café.

5. 2017 Porsche 911 GT3 RS

This year, we took Car Café further afield and headed to the famous Ace Café to host the event.

We saw some unbelievable cars, including the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, the high-performance version of the 911.

This beautiful car has been extremely successful on the track - winning championship and endurance races, including the GT class of the American Le Mans Series.

There was a huge amount of interest in the GT2 GT3 as many visitors hadn't seen it in the flesh before and were taken aback by its stunning beauty and super power.

6. Jaguar Lightweight E-type

2017 was the year for additional Car Café events arounds the country. In May, we took the event to Aston Martin Wilmslow Service Centre.

Over 100 cars attended the first ever Car Café at this location and they were spectacular. One that clearly stood out, though, was the Jaguar Lightweight E-type.

In May 2016, Stratstone was announced as one of the owners of the 'Missing Six' Jaguar Lightweight E-types. The E-type has been attending events ever since to allow members of the public to get a glimpse of the hand-built 1960s car.

At Car Café Wilmslow, attendees could get up close and personal with the iconic machine and had the opportunity to see her precision-engineered V8 first-hand.

7. Nissan GT-R

We've seen several Nissan GT-R's over the Car Café season and loved each one of them.

One of the most interesting that we saw, though, was this uniquely wrapped GT-R at Nottingham's Car Café in July. The Nissan GT-R is every bit a sports car and attendees were amazed by this striking new flip paint effect wrap.

The two-door, high-performance, Nissan GT-R was first debuted at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show and is every bit the sports car. The V6 engine powers the GT-R to hit a whopping 193mph and go from 0-62mph in under three seconds.

It was fantastic to see so many owners of this stunning car at our events over the season and we hope to see many more next year.

8. Ferrari 488

Another highlight from the first Car Café in Wilmslow was the stunning array of red Ferrari 488's.

Showcasing their gorgeous dual grille's, double front spoilers and sculptural flanks - it's safe to say all visitors were seriously impressed by every 488.

The 3902 CC power unit in the 488 is the most high-performance Ferrari engine ever and can accelerate this beasty motor from 0-62mph in just 3 seconds. Not only that, the 488 can reach an astounding 205mph - remarkable. Manufacturers of the 488 focused mainly on achieving maximum efficiency, which resulted in the machine's superb performance.

At the end of the morning, we were lucky enough to watch as the 488's exited Aston Martin Wilmslow and flaunted their extraordinary horse power.

9. Aston Martin Vanquish S Volante

Over the season, we were also fortunate enough to see a couple of Aston Martin Vanquish models. This Vanquish S Volante was spotted at the Aston Martin Wilmslow Service Centre at the Car Café event in May.

The Vanquish is right at the top of the Aston Martin model range. In 2013, manufacturers wanted to push boundaries, which lead them to a new flagship - the Vanquish.

This model accommodates the Aston Martin's greatest ever engine and uses only the most premium materials and elegant design.

There were a few jaws on the floor when visitors had the chance to get up close and personal with the Vanquish Coupe and Volante models - after all, it is the Ultimate Grand Tourer.
