Performance Focus: The Aston Martin Vantage GT12 11th Jan 2016 We were recently granted an exclusive opportunity to get up close and personal with the Aston Martin Vantage GT12. A customer's car, this unique model will be on public display at our Park Lane showroom throughout January 2016. The GT12 is a special edition car, with just 100 models entering production at the Aston Martin facility in Gaydon. The unique colouring on this particular vehicle has divided opinion online but what many might not realise is the colour scheme is that of the iconic Gulf Racing team. This makes it even more exclusive - limited to just 5 examples in total. Gulf Racing are a privately-owned team famous for their Le Mans victories throughout the 60's and 70's. They currently race the Aston Martin GT3 and lend their iconic colours to unique editions of a similarly outstanding marques. The GT12 carries a striking silhouette, and is built for the racetrack as much as it is the road. It's very clear from the outset that this car takes inspiration from the racing pedigree of the Vantage in its GT3 competitions. Constructed entirely from carbon fibre, the flared bodywork and large spoiler are substantial, though this helps to shave 100kg off the weight compared to the V12 Vantage S. Underneath the rigorously engineered body lies the most powerful production engine fitted to an Aston Martin Vantage. A 600PS, 6.0 litre V12 engine makes this - in Aston Martin's own words- the most potent and uncompromising Vantage to date.
