2015 marked another exceptional year in the Shelsley Walsh and Stratstone calendar. A thrilling season on the hill climb with a new champion, was complemented by a range of fantastic customer events which will be remembered fondly as winter draws in.

Stratstone Club Members have been treated to unique sights and sounds with exclusive start-line views from the Stratstone enclosure, at the world's oldest operational motorsport venue. They've also seen David Beckham's bike, and watched the restoration of the only Jaguar XK 140 to ever run at Le Mans.

Here we take a look back at our summer of fun at Shelsley Walsh - reliving the thrills and spills of the hill climb:

May 3rd 2015: Visit to Eastnor Castle and Speed into Spring

The Hillclimb season kicked off with a visit to Eastnor Castle with guests of Stratstone Land Rover. Eastnor is seen as the ancestral home of Land Rover, with the varied and demanding terrain of Herefordshire ideal for putting the iconic marque through its paces. Situated next to the historic Eastnor Castle, we were also able to tour the ancient Grade I listed building and visit a local chilli festival which had taken up residence within its walls.

In the afternoon our convoy headed down to Shelsley Walsh in the Spring sun for the inaugural hill climb event of 2015, Speed into Spring. A fantastic introduction to the hillclimb season, the first heats of the year always draw large crowds to the venue as drivers set their cars up for the season. In a day thoroughly enjoyed by all, 2012 Maltese Hill Climb Champion Zach Zammit had travelled over with his family from Malta to finish third, whilst victory was ensured in the 1400cc class by driver Tim Dennis in all-conquering classic Mini Hatch.

June 7th 2015: Best of British

For our second event of 2015 we joined guests of Stratstone Ferrari Wilmslow and Morgan Stourbridge at Shelsley Walsh for the Best of British event.

Best of British saw competitors vying for points in the hotly contested British Hill Climb Championship, amongst numerous others in the hill climb season. Future championship winner Alex Summers took to the track in his Gould GR61X racing car, as the sun beat down on Shelsley Walsh.

Guests were given an access all areas pass, which offers sublime views from the Stratstone enclosure of all the start-line action, as well as a complementary lunch from the Stratstone café in the courtyard. With a time of just 23.03 seconds, the fastest time of the day went to driver Jos Goodyear to round off a thrilling event.

July 4th 2015: National Motorcycle Museum and Reg Phillips Trophy Meeting

Guests of Stratstone Harley Davidson and Triumph visited the iconic hill climb for our third event of 2015. We met at the National Motorcycle Museum in the morning for a complimentary breakfast and drinks, before exploring the museum's collection of over 1000 motorcycles, which span three different centuries.

The National Motorcycle Museum sees over a quarter of a million visitors each year and features exhibits such as David Beckham's very own Brazilian Bonneville. After exploring everything that the museum had to offer, guests headed down to Shelsley Walsh in convoy with their Hog Chapter captain, before lining their motorcycles up in the enclosure ready to enjoy a day of racing.

The Reg Philips Trophy Meeting is a special one in the calendar, and saw a range of motorcycles take to the track in addition to classic, vintage and motorsports vehicles. A capacity entry and warm weather rounded off a thoroughly enjoyable day.

July 19th 2015: Classic Motor Cars and Classic Nostalgia

July 19th was a truly exceptional day for guests of Stratstone Jaguar and Aston Martin. We met on a bright morning at the Classic Motor Cars headquarters in Bridgnorth. CMC is a leading restorer of classic Jaguars and other vehicles, and we enjoyed unprecedented access to their entire restoration project.

We unearthed treasures such as the Jaguar E-Type Lightweight (one of only 12 examples in the world), and even an Aston Martin DB5 which was present at the filming of James Bond's Goldfinger. Guests were also treated to a rare Jaguar XK140, which was the only example to ever run at Le Mans in 1953.

In the scorching weather, guests then made the most of the twisting country lanes that link Classic Motor Cars and Shelsley Walsh together. Classic Nostalgia is among the biggest events in the Shelsley Walsh Calendar, and it's not hard to see why. The air was heavy with nostalgia - from the local band performing wartime songs to the crowds in the spirit of things with retro dress!

Jaguar were also celebrating 80 years of their marque, and we saw the 1987 championship winning XJR9, the XJ220 Supercar, and XF designer Ian Callum's own fully restored Jaguar Mk.II take to the hill. It was certainly one event we can't wait to visit again next year.

August 16th 2015: Stratstone Club and Shelsley Walsh Championship Challenge

The Shelsley Walsh Championship Challenge heralds the biggest Stratstone Club event in the calendar. We invited over 300 guests along to experience what Shelsley Walsh really has to offer. From complimentary food and drink throughout the day, to exclusive track-side views in the shade of the Stratstone tipi.

On the track, we had our very own entry in to the Hill Climb, as a Stratstone-branded Aston Martin GT4 from Academy Motorsport took to the hill for the first time! Check out an interview with Academy Motorsport MD and driver Matt-Nicoll Jones.

Hill climb championship leader Alex Summers continued to impress throughout the weekend, taking the time of the day at just 23.05 seconds. Celebrating 100 years of Shelsley Walsh, cars from throughout the decades took part in the climb, including a Sunbeam from 1911. Accompanied by our own thrilling car display in the enclosure, our customers really enjoyed what was a new experience to many.

September 20th 2015: Season Finale

We also visited Shelsley Walsh for their Season Finale event, to see out the hill climb season in style. The competition was really intense on a day where championships can be decided in a matter of seconds, and a capacity crowd only added to the excitement.

Both Ferrari Club Racing and Porsche Club Motorsport were there to set the best sprint times on Sunday - meaning guests got to see legendary vehicles such as the Ferrari Dino and Porsche in proper rubber-burning action. A fitting way to see out the season for 2015!

Thanks to everyone that helped make our events so enjoyable this year. We'll soon be sharing our 2016 events calendar and can't wait to share the #StratstoneClub experience with even more customers!
