The iconic Land Rover Discovery celebrates its quarter of a century milestone with the Exclusive XXV Special Edition.
The first Discovery was introduced in the UK in 1989. Since then over 1 million Discovery models have been sold worldwide since its launch in 1989 as it has cemented itself as the most capable and versatile SUV in the world.
Discovery' award-winning technologies has changed through the years but the most notable being the Terrain Response®, and Hill Descent Control which allows the driver to switch between vehicle settings dependent on the road surface you are travelling. It is therefore at home whether its a daily drive or harsh terrain.
Over its quarter of a century the Discovery has become the explorer's choice, taking on challenges and adventures; Sir Ranulph Fiennes used an original Discovery in his exhibition to discover the Lost City of Ubar, while the Discovery 3 was used on the record holding London-Cape Town drive in 2013. Discovery models have also been used in Land Rover's own famous G4 Challenge and Camel Trophy.
The commemorative XXV is based on the existing HSE Luxury specification and comes finished in four exterior colours, Causeway Grey, Santorini Black, Fuji White and Indus Silver. It gets Narvik Black grille surrounds and mirror caps as well as full-length silver roof rails. Unique 20-inch alloys and XXV badging on the front doors and tailgate are also fitted.
On the interior the fascia and instrument binnacle and door tops are covered in Windsor leather. There is a choice of three interior leather colourway options: ebony, cirrus and dual tone-tone ebony/cirrus. Twist pile carpet and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with subtle XXV embossing highlight this as a special edition model.
