Mince pies, sloe gin, and a great range of new vehicles helped to warm the spirits of guests of Porsche Stratstone on a cold winter's evening..

The Christmas-themed event, complete with a tree and presents, shed light on the brand new GTS and E-Hybrid series of Porsche vehicles. The GTS (or Gran Turismo Sport) badge represents a performance-orientated line of vehicles, the lineage of which stretches back to the legendary 1964 Carrera GTS.

The GTS pioneers superior dynamics which make for a great drive, whilst also being useable as an everyday car. GTS models on show included a Carmine Red 911 Carrera GTS and a GT Silver Boxster GTS; both extremely popular and grabbing the attention of onlookers.

Cars such as the 911 Carrera GTS sport a 3.8 litre flat-six petrol engine, producing 430 bhp and managing 0-60mph in just 4.4 seconds.

Also on show was a selection of E-Hybrid models, such as the Panamera and Cayenne. Both models utilise the same 3.0 Litre V6 and 94bhp electric motor to produce a combined output of 410bhp and torque figures of 590Nm - putting it on par with the models such as the GTS in terms of performance.

Chris Boot, Centre Principle, speaking to guests at Porsche Centre Nottingham, said: "The new GTS models really follow Porsche's tradition of agility; nimbleness, precision, and as you would expect from Porsche - performance."

"The Porsche E-Hybrid specification is available across three different models, the 918 Spider; Panamera and Cayenne. The Cayenne manages a 0-60 time of 5.9 seconds, which is quite astonishing considering the emissions are just 79g/km."

As if that wasn't enough, the Christmas event also included a Cayenne, GTS and E-Hybrid competition prize draw. Prizes included a selection of items from the Porsche Driver's selection (which includes a range of driving accessories), a Christmas hamper and a driving experience day at Silverstone racecourse for the winner.

Partners on the night were St. James's Place wealth management, who also spoke to an intent audience at Stratstone Porsche about the leasing benefits of E-Hybrid models.
