The Sportbrake name was originally seen on the first-generation Jaguar XF Sportbrake in 2012, Jaguar's second ever release of a Jaguar estate car. Incidentally, the first ever estate Jaguar made was the Jaguar X-Type Estate from 2004. It's also worth noting that Jaguar went on to make the first generation XF Sportbrake until 2015.

However, fast forward to 2017 and Jaguar has recently announced an all-new version of the popular XF Sportbrake. It has a lot to live up to, as its predecessor was something of an award winner, both as a saloon and estate. The Sportbrake happened to be 'Tow Car of The Year' for an incredible 3-years running.

So, what's the all-new 2017 Sportbrake like?

As an executive-estate car, the Jaguar XF Sportbrake dimensions offer ultra-fine, unmistakable and of course elegant Jaguar styling - with enhanced practicality over the saloon in terms of rear loading space; offering 25-litres more than the saloon with a total of 565-litres, or an incredible 1700-litres with the rear seats folded flat. There is more space in the cabin too, despite being 6mm shorter than the previous generation, this is due to an increase in wheelbase by 51mm.

Talking of the cabin, interiors within the XF deliver pure comfort, thanks to elegant crafting of premium materials with bespoke choice and luxury. This is complemented by the next-generation Touch, and Touch Pro system - a crisp and clear 8.0-inch or 10.2-inch touchscreen on selected models, featuring sat-nav, DAB and even in-car WiFi.

The Sportbrake also features an incredible Virtual Instrument Cluster as part of the Touch Pro system, giving the driver a 12.3" cluster inside of fixed conventional dials. It features a brand new graphical interface with advanced functions to make driving your Sportbrake even more exhilarating. A deluxe sound system comes with the Sportbrake - featuring an 80w system with 8 speakers, however, an enhanced Meridian Audio System is also available with 11 speakers. If you would like the ultimate concert-like experience in your Sportbrake, the Meridian 825w system provides you and your passengers with one of the richest audio experiences available.

Therefore, the all-new Jaguar Sportbrake is the perfect estate car for those wanting an ultra-fine premium looking vehicle, with all the comfort, refinement and heritage we have come to expect from Jaguar.
