Stratstone Aston Martin Wilmslow attended this year's CarFest North event, held at Oulton Park on Friday 31st July - Sunday 2nd August.
Carfest has now been running for three years, and is the brainchild of BBC radio presenter and petrolhead Chris Evans. Combining the very best of classic hill climb events with a festival atmosphere, Carfest brings a unique proposition to the motoring calendar.
Aston Martin Wilmslow joined in the car celebrations, and were joined by the all-new Aston Martin Vantage GT12 Model. The Vantage is one of Aston Martin's most successful racing cars to date, and this edition brings all its track finesse to the road. This uniquely engineered car is one of only 100 examples that will be produced.
Another special edition car, the Rapide S GREAT edition, was on show with Stratstone. Designed by Aston Martin's Q, this unique model is designed to celebrate the GREAT Britain campaign. Aston Martin Wilmslow brought along the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante, the flagship of the Aston Martin Range, and the ever-popular DB9 Coupe.
The vehicles served as an exciting spectacle throughout the weekend, attracting considerable interest from the 20,000 gusts that passed through the gates of Carfest throughout the festival.
Aston Martin UK also had two cars racing around the track during the event. These were the new DB9 GT and V12 Vantage S models, which both lit up the sprint course and helped contribute to the worthwhile cause.
Last year, the event raised over £1.5 million for Children in Need, with hopes that this year they could raise even more. We'll keep you updated on the total! Carfest North, the first event in the Carfest calendar, saw musical guests such as Seastick Steve, Primal Scream and Will Young take to the stage.
The track sprint rivalled the Goodwood Festival of Speed, welcoming a variety of cars over the weekend, from the Super Car Seven to the Formula One collection of classic F1 vehicles.
