Ferrari. A name that requires no introduction. Perhaps one of the most famous automotive brands in the world, 2017 marked 70-years of the prancing horse. With such a milestone, Ferrari owners and enthusiasts have spent the year attending special shows and events to revel in all things Ferrari.
Stratstone have been lucky enough to join in anniversary celebrations this year and were honoured to host '70 Years of Ferrari at Capesthorne Hall' in August, which saw a gathering and tour of various Ferrari models from all ages, in the heart of Cheshire with more than 80 cars taking part in a stunning convoy through the heart of Wilmslow and the surrounding areas.
Naturally, we were delighted to secure access to an exclusive preview of 'Ferrari: Under the Skin' at The Design Museum in London. This fascinating exhibition looks at the history of this iconic supercar maker and gives visitors complete insight into everything Ferrari.
Starting with founder Enzo Ferrari, the exhibition explains his personal story from the beginning to the present day and what the future holds for the Italian supercar maker, with everything in-between.
Enthusiasts will enjoy seeing priceless classic examples such as the very first Ferrari - the 125 S, along with various Ferrari racing cars from Le Mans and F1. Visitors are also spoilt in seeing some truly legendary road cars from Ferrari's remarkable history, including the breath-taking Ferrari F40. Visitors can also see various body shells and chassis of many classic and new Ferraris to really get a sense of what goes into producing these incredible cars.
