Every Dark Custom™ bike represents their rider, no matter how subtle, or eccentric. That's something we wanted to celebrate.
The Harley-Davidson® Custom Ride Event at our Harley-Davidson® Birmingham and Harley-Davidson® Wolverhampton dealerships showcased everything that Dark Custom™ is about - individuality.
Split in to two categories -Harley-Davidson® Dark Customs™ and Non Harley-Davidson® Dark Customs™ - guests were invited to bring their custom rides along to be judged by a panel of professionals.
The winner of each category won £100 worth of vouchers to spend in their local Stratstone Harley-Davidson store, with an extensive range of authentic Harley-Davidson® clothing and accessories available at each dealership - not to mention a wide range of bike parts and accessories.
The winner in the Harley-Davidson® category was Andrew Bednall (pictured) on his Harley-Davidson® Iron™. The non Harley-Davidson® winning entry was Dave Bennett on his Yamaha VX1700.
But that wasn't all. Harley-Davidson® Birmingham hosted a thoroughly storming live performance from Walsall-based rockers Cower Hounds, whilst the Motorsport Aftermarket Group (MAG) were in attendance to showcase their latest accessories and parts.
Food and refreshments were also available from Big Daddies Diner - famous for their gourmet hotdogs - whilst HD's specialist 'Custom Kings' were on hand throughout the day to chat through anything and everything customisation.
Harley-Davidson® Wolverhampton had a complimentary BBQ on offer, as well as offering complimentary one-to-one riding sessions through SCMT Motorcycle Training School who were there on the day. Both dealerships had extensive discounts on selected merchandise, parts and accessories - meaning even those that didn't win had a great chance to grab some bike gear.
The winner of the Dark Custom™ Harley-Davidson® at each dealership was entered into the national Dark Custom competition, where the top prize is £2,500 worth of Harley-Davidson® Store Vouchers! The three overall winners of the National competition will then have their custom rides shown at the NEC Classic Motorbike Show on 14th -16th November 2015.
