Harley-Davidsons at Wolves More Photos

Stratstone Harley-Davidson, Wolverhampton, opened its doors on Saturday 1 July to host a special Independence Day celebration.

Wolfruna Chapter, the Local Harley-Davidson owners group, organised the event to celebrate the brand’s American heritage. Stratstone Harley-Davidson were honoured to be hosting the event at their retailer in Wolverhampton.

The group brings together people with a passion for Harley-Davidson Motorcycles. They gather on the first Tuesday of each month and during the summer, to host regular ride outs, rallies and social events.

The event saw many visitors come along to celebrate the iconic Harley-Davidson brand, enjoying the variety of motorcycles on display in the showroom. In addition, visitors enjoyed a traditional hog roast, refreshments and entertainment, which included local bands Creepin Six, AKA Scarface and Moose Jaw.

Following up the retailer’s fundraising efforts at previous events, Stratstone teamed with Wolfruna Chapter. Money was raised at the Independence Day celebration for Compton Hospice, Wolverhampton Oxygen and MS Therapy Centre.

Two of Wolfruna Chapter’s members lost their sons to illnesses and The Compton Hospice was selected as a beneficiary of the fundraising efforts, due to their work with people with incurable illnesses.

The Oxygen and MS Therapy Centre in Wolverhampton was nominated in remembrance of Tona Burley, a past officer of the Wolfruna HOG chapter who sadly passed away last year.

Over £500 was raised from the cake sale, raffle and donations, which will go a long way to helping the charities achieve their objectives to help those in need.

“It was a fantastic day and I want to thank everyone who turned up and helped us raise over £500 for Compton Hospice and MS Oxygen centre. I would also like to say a special thank you to the Stratstone Harley-Davidson team members that supported us in every way on the day and let us have what we needed to make the day a success.”

- Gary Moore, Director of Wolfruna Chapter
