Introducing the Brand-New Mercedes-AMG A 35

A new breed of performance; the Mercedes-AMG A 35 4MATIC offers an entry level step into the world of AMG. It is however, anything but entry level and extends the legendary AMG passion for enhanced design, engineering and visual flair.

AMG Performance

AMG DNA is all about performance, so it comes as no surprise that even in this entry level offering you're not going to be lacking when it comes to high-performance. A new four-cylinder turbo engine is utilised, which produces 306hp and is of course equipped with 4MATIC fully variable all-wheel drive for ultimate grip and ensuring the power can be utilised when desired.

Equipped with an AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7G dual-clutch transmission, the A 35 AMG can properly contribute to the car's agile and dynamic character. Functions such as RACE-START (launch control) ensure maximum acceleration is produced by the car from a standard start, for the ultimate full-on AMG experience. This ensures 62mph can be achieved from stationary in just 4.7 seconds, with a top speed which is electronically limited to 155mph.

Interior

When creating the brand-new Mercedes-Benz A-Class, the Development of the A 35 AMG was integrated from of the very beginning. This has meant that the sought-after AMG DNA could be engineered into the car at every necessary opportunity, along with state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz technology.

This is evident on the A35 AMG interior, which comprises bucket AMG seats that give the motorsport feel as soon as you sit down. A more sports focused steering wheel is employed, along with the stunning widescreen display housing the racy digital dials and infotainment set-up. MBUX - Mercedes-Benz User Experience is also part of the A 35 AMG experience which uses artificial intelligence, meaning the A 35 AMG can create an environment tailor made to the driver for a second to none driving experience.

Exterior

As to be expected with an AMG vehicle, the A 35 expresses its high-performance character in its powerful exterior design. A dominating front radiator comprising of twin louvres and the iconic three-pointed star are joined by a subtle AMG badge. A more aggressive front bumper and splitter is amplified by black canards/flics on the air intakes too, furthermore giving indication of this car's dynamic ability and character.

Move along and car and the A 35 AMG sits lower as expected, on a set of 18-inch light-alloy wheels. Silver painted AMG four-piston Monoblock fixed calipers clamp onto 350mm brake discs on the front, along with the rear benefitting from single-piston sliding calipers and 330mm brake discs for typically powerful AMG stopping power. It's worth noting that the discs are cleverly internally ventilated and perforated to dispel heat, and to also prevent brake fading - to ensure high performance is not affected.

Taking pride of the place on the rear of the car is a distinct rear-diffuser, rear wing and twin tailpipes ensure for the full-on motorsport look which complement this car's incredible high-performance ability. A wonderfully exciting exhaust note which is controlled by the drive profile selected ensures the A 35 AMG exhaust can be full AMG when you want it to be, or subtle and comfortable Mercedes-Benz when required for the perfect Mercedes-AMG experience.
