Even on a foggy July morning Car Café was as popular as ever, continuing to cement its place as one of the biggest and best car meets in the East Midlands.
The rain dampened everything but spirits as the cars on display on Saturday morning were more diverse than ever, and included a number of kit cars, hot rods and even trikes! These were joined by a range of supercars both classic and modern, as well as vehicles from the worlds of rally and rallycross.
Again we welcomed the Mid-Derbyshire Motor Club to our event, as well as an excellent line-up of Honda S2000 vehicles who took up an entire row of the car park!
Some classic supercars on show included the legendary Ferrari 348 TS, the Spider variation of the replacement for the Ferrari 328. Only 4230 of this V8-powered prancing horse were ever produced, and its bright red figure really stood out. Just behind it were two immaculate examples of the Aston Martin DB7, the DB9 predecessor which was designed by Ian Callum.
Some entirely new vehicles also joined the Car Café line-up. We were excited to welcome the menacing Lamborghini Huracan - an all-new V10-powered supercar. This was joined by the Jaguar XE S, the premier Jaguar XE model which utilises the engine as the thrilling Jaguar F-Type. Check out when the Jaguar XE launched at Stratstone Dealerships.
We also had some stand-out hatchback models at July's Car Café too, like the MINI 210 Challenge edition. This special edition MINI
, which is based on the MINI Cooper S, celebrates the brand's history in motorsport. It features 210 bhp of output; a unique colour scheme and John Cooper Works tuning. The all-electric BMW i3
also made a debut appearance at Car Café for 2015 alongside the regular crowd favourite BMW i8
