The third Car Café of 2015 took place this weekend and the spectacular weather ensured a record number of visitors and their vehicles were in attendance to experience the Midlands' fastest growing car meet.
It was almost a full house as the most diverse range of cars yet filled up the majority of spaces. Cars from the world of motorsport parked alongside modern-day supercars and rare retro classics. For the first time, there was also had a selection of motorcycles who added to the ever-expanding line-up.
The bustling display area was set against clear, sunny skies as the summer weather blessed Car Café. This month, a number of new car clubs joined the event, including the Mid-Derbyshire Motor Club.
A pair of classic BMW vehicles were amongst the selection of vintage cars at the June event. A stylish BMW Z1 was the very first incarnation of the BMW Z-line of roadsters, and the one featured at this month's event was one of only 8000 produced. We also saw a mint condition second-generation BMW E30 318i. A car which is legend in its own right, the BMW 3-Series is currently celebrating its 40th anniversary.
Other classic cars included a rare Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Targa from the late 1980's and a fantastic replica 1981 Ford Capri Zakspeed Group 5 Wurth, used during a successful German DRM touring car season over 30 years ago.
The Ferrari 458 Italia
and McLaren MP4-12C were some of the modern supercars on offer through the morning.
All-in-all, the third Car Café was one of the best yet. We look forward to the fourth event of the year on Saturday 4th July from 8:30am until 10:30am at:
Little Oak Drive,
We look forward to seeing you there!
