A Completely New Exterior Design

This all-new Mercedes A-Class hatchback is youthful and dynamic, with a stunning new front design. The flat eye-catching LED headlamps and low bonnet give the new A-Class 2018 a striking appearance and the radiator grille just adds to the confidence it exudes.

With larger wheel arches, from 16 to 19 inches, the sportiness of the A-Class is really emphasised. The rear of the new model is wider, which also brings attention to the broader shoulders and two-section rear bumper. The sleeker shape should help fuel economy as the model will glide through the air more smoothly and some models come standard will an active front grille, opening up for more efficient cooling.

The back-end changes are less noticeable, but certainly still there. These additional extras, including the car's pointier brake lights make the practicality of the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class much more prominent, as this design gives an extra 20cm to the boot.

The New Mercedes-Benz A-Class Interior

The next generation Mercedes A-Class interior is ground-breaking - some may say a revolution. Avantgarde ambient lighting is used to separate sections of the dashboard and drivers can choose from 64 different colours, which is five times more than in its predecessor - incredibly impressive.

This brand-new dashboard is presented on completely free-standing instrument panels, and drivers have the ability to control the infotainment system using voice commands thanks to the Mercedes-Benz User Experience. The display system is available in three separate versions, either two seven-inch screens, one 10.25-inch and one seven-inch or two seven-inch screens. The central screen also accesses control to the air conditioning and helps with the essentially running of the cockpit, including entertainment and connection via mobile, just adding further to the greatness of the Mercedes A-Class inside.

For passengers, the all-new A-Class is a dream. With extra space inside, including more shoulder, elbow and headroom alongside additional stowage space, every journey can be enjoyed in pure luxury. The new A-Class interior also comes with seat climate control which surrounds passengers with a constant and pleasant flow of air. For those looking to add extras, the Multicontour Seat package adds a massage effect in the lumbar area too.

The A-Class also has a bigger boot than its predecessor, with a wider opening and seats more upright to ensure bulky items have a space too.

Futuristic Technology Features

The A-Class is the very first Mercedes-Benz model to feature new cutting-edge technology - the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system.

This incredible system hosted on the Mercedes A-Class dashboard uses artificial intelligence to understand your voice commands. With natural speech recognition, drivers only need to command with "Hey Mercedes, I'm cold" and the heating will start.

Designed at every stage with driver and passengers in mind, this user experience (UX) can be adapted entirely to suit whoever is behind the wheel. The emotional connection made between car and driver in the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class is unlike any other as the system will begin to understand shorter words and the actions of a specific driver over time.

This unique technology is not like anything seen before and uses a head-up display with comprehensive touch-control, comprised of a touchscreen, touchpad on the centre console and touch control buttons on the steering wheel.

Drivers can also access the navigation system through this infotainment system as well as Vehicle Tracker which helps to find where a parked vehicle is situated.

The New A-Class Performance and Specifications

The Mercedes A-Class specifications are more efficient than ever before. Depending on whether you prefer petrol or diesel, there are several options in the new model, with something to suit everyone.
Petrol-wise, drivers can choose between two new four-cylinder petrol engines - a 1.4-litre turbo or the revised 1.5-litre diesel.

The 1.4-litre turbo petrol gives drivers the option to have a seven-speed dual-clutch box, capable of 8.0sec 0-62mph.
For diesel lovers, the Mercedes A-Class has a new 1.5-litre turbodiesel engine option with AdBlue technology and a turbocharger with optimised responsiveness.
Alongside those, for a punchier engine, drivers have the choice of a 2.0-litre turbo petrol, taking the hatchback from 0-62mph in a nifty 6.2 seconds.

When purchasing the all-new A-Class, drivers can also request the all-wheel drive system, 4MATIC. This all-wheel drive system has been even further developed, delivering even more driving pleasure and fantastic efficiency.
