A huge array of racing cars took to the climb, including the 1911 Fiat S76, nicknamed 'The Beast'. It was built to break the 1910 land speed record, and features a 28-litre engine with 290 bhp. Other vehicles included an iconic Monaco-winning Alfa Romeo P3 Tipo B, and a pair of Austin MINI Cooper S models.
The tight, twisting course of the new hill climb suited many of the older cars well, and the range of vintage classics surging up the course proved an exciting spectacle. The overall winner of the 2015 Chateau Impney event was driver Jack Banbury, who at his first hill climb event achieved a time of just 42.42 seconds for completing the 1000-yard route.
Aston Martin Hagley were in attendance with a range of new and pre-owned prestige vehicles. Guests at the event had the opportunity to explore the Aston Martin models such as the luxurious Aston Martin Vanquish and V12 Vantage S.
Stratstone Land Rover and Jaguar also had a number of Approved Pre-Owned models on display, including pre-owned Range Rover Evoque models and examples of the superb Jaguar XF. See the full range of Stratstone Pre-owned Prestige vehicles here.
