Team members of Stratstone BMW Leeds recently went back to the classroom, helping pupils at Moor Allerton Hall Primary School with their 'Rise of the Robots' project.
BMW Leeds gave up their time to help year 3 pupils at the school, with a presentation on how robots are used in the BMW manufacturing process. Using the impressive BMW i8 and i3 models, the team aided pupils in gaining knowledge needed to complete their work, and offered an insight into the world of BMW technology.
The pupils were left engaged and very excited by the presentation.
"I just can't wait to go home and start my homework this week".
- Pupil at Moor Allerton Hall Primary School
The BMW i range is a comprehensive and ground-breaking concept for sustainable mobility, so offered the perfect model variety for the pupils to include in their project. The i3 and i8 are outstanding electric vehicles, which don't compromise on BMW's prestige feel and style.
Pupils were given the opportunity to view both vehicles and get a first-hand experience of the impressive technologies.
Built to compliment the vibrancy of city life, the i3 is powered by a fully emission-free electric motor. From an environmental point of view, the BMW i3 excites with incredible high-voltage battery (lithium-ion high-voltage battery) with a range of up to 100 miles.
The i8 is a revolutionary car in more ways than one, being the first sports car with the consumption and emission values of a compact car. An innovative construction, pioneering use of materials, aerodynamic design and wealth of intelligent BMW EfficientDynamics features. The use of recyclable materials makes the interior a model of sustainability, and made it the perfect model to discuss with the pupils.
"The team at Stratstone BMW Leeds really helped to create some fantastic memories for our children, through the work they facilitated in class and the practical session outside with the BMW i8 and i3. The children have been left so engaged and excited. We are looking forward to shortlisting our children's homework and forwarding these to BMW Leeds to judge for the competition they set."
