The Touring range made by Harley-Davidson have always been designed to consume mile after mile of open road, regardless of the destination. Now thanks to a couple of major updates, the Touring models are even better.

So What's New?

Harley-Davidson will be fitting their latest and largest Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine to selected touring models, providing plenty of grunt for long distance cruising. Thanks to the 10.0:1 compression ratio that is achieved through a four-valve cylinder head design and innovative oil cooling, there is a potent 90 bhp and 119 lb-ft torque on tap.

However, the largest change is the introduction of Harley-Davidson's latest BOOM! Box GTS Infotainment system that has been designed to make those long-distance adventures more comfortable. New Gorilla glass is used on the screen that is engineered to prevent glare and scratches; the screen's contrast is now four times higher alongside a substantial 100% increase in resolution.

The memory has also had an upgrade so there is more storage available, and the beefed-up processor results in the start-up time being cut in half and route calculations being made four times faster. A lot of work has been done on the software too, with the option to add numerous languages (Japanese, Russian, Dutch, Turkish, Polish, Brazilian, Czech) now available. The infotainment is now Apple CarPlay compatible, which guarantees to make life easier on a daily basis
