Incredibly, the Aston Martin Vantage has been with us for 12 years, after its showcase in 2005 - and it's still going strong. Throughout its life, the Aston Martin Vantage has had numerous versions (such as the Vantage S), multiple updates and of course the option of a breath-taking V8 or V12 engine.
On the 21st February 2017, Aston Martin released details of the latest special editions to compliment the Aston Martin Vantage range - The Aston Martin Vantage S Red Bull Racing Edition. The cars have been produced by Aston Martin's 'in-house personalisation service; Q by Aston Martin'. The announcement is a celebration of Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing's 'innovation partnership' and comes as no surprise after the two companies announced the unbelievable AM-RB 001 back in July 2016.
The Aston Martin Vantage S RBR Edition takes its style from the livery on the famous Red Bull F1 Team cars. Available as standard in Mariana Blue with red or yellow detailing on the side vents and front grille, with the addition of yellow or red brake calipers. Customers can also choose a Tungsten Silver or satin Mariana Blue paint finish as well. The Aston Martin Vantage S RBR Edition comes with either the fabulous V8 or V12 engine meaning customers can have either an Aston Martin V8 Vantage S RBR Edition or V12 Vantage S RBR Edition.
No mechanical changes have been made to either car, which is no bad thing. This means the V8 Vantage S RBR Edition will come with a 4.7-litre V8 engine producing 430bhp, propelling it from 0-60mph in 4.6 seconds, whilst the V12 Vantage S RBR Edition comes with a 5.9-litre V12 producing 565bhp enabling a 0-60mph time of 3.7 seconds.
Inside, the Red Bull F1 Team theme continues with the 'Red Bull Racing Formula One Team' logo appearing on the sculptured leather seats. The interior is further complimented by red or yellow stitching on the seats and dash, with other contrasting red or yellow details to give the interior a striking yet premium feel. Customers can also choose an array of optional carbon fibre enhancements such as carbon fibre seats, door pulls, mirror caps and even have the badges finished in carbon fibre.
Customers are also able to opt for Red Bull Formula 1 drivers Daniel Ricciardo or Max Verstappen to sign their sill and inspection plaques - as the F1 drivers have given their own 'seal of approval' of the special cars, a nice touch for F1 enthusiasts for sure.
