HOG Chapter support local charities at Stratstone
25th Mar 2017
Wolfruna Harley-Davidson Owners Group (HOG) chapter members have been supporting local charities by raising money running cake stalls at local Stratstone dealer events and raffling off a number of Harley merchandise including a helmet and other items. And finally organising a charity ride to Gloucester Docks. The fundraising was in aid of a past officer, Tona Burley who sadly passed away last year. Also chapter members, Chris and Rose Wright who lost both of their sons to tragic illnesses.
The money raised was presented to the charities by 25 of the chapter members that rode out to personally deliver the cheques. The first cheque for £500 was handed to local charity Compton Hospice at the request of Chris and Rose Wright in memory of their late sons. The Compton Hospice has been caring and supporting patients with incurable illnesses and their families from Wolverhampton and surrounding areas for 35 years.
The 25 chapter members who took part in the two presentations had a most rewarding day and were overwhelmed with the reception they received from the teams at both Compton Hospice and the Oxygen Centre.
Further events and fundraising activities are planned for the year as we hope to continue to support these worthy causes. Thanks to everybody that contributed with the cake sales, raffles and supported the events.
