Rochay High Society at Aston Martin Mayfair

15th Apr 2016

Aston Martin Mayfair hosted Rochay Elite for an exclusive event at their W-One showroom.

The evening encompassed the very finest luxuries; from superb examples of classic cars to the best in fine dining and live music for an unforgettable evening. We were joined by over 100 Rochay clients including Kevin Rochay, the Chairman of Rochay Elite, at the centre of Aston Martin's bespoke Q operations.

Canapes were prepared by chef Raymond McArdle, flown in especially to cater for the evening's event, before food was prepared at Peid a Terre with the Michelin starred chef Andy McFadden. Champagne Bollinger were also on hand with refreshments, whilst live music and ambience was provided by legendary piano builders Steinway & Sons.

Two exceptionally rare examples of Aston Martin classics took centre stage courtesy of vintage experts Ecurie Bertelli. The 1935 Ulster and a 1934 Mark II are both early pre-war examples of Aston Martin vehicles, though both are capable of reaching over 100 mph.

The Ulster on display is the last example that Aston Martin ever made.  Recently imported from Switzerland, it competed in several events in the 1930s and has competed on the modern Mille Miglia many times.

The Mark II has its own unique history, being the only Aston Martin ever to take part in the pre-war Monte Carlo Rally, and it came first in class in 1936.  It has also competed in Brooklands and in many other period trials events.

The Stratstone Q Edition Aston Martin Vantage S, just one of 16 and designed in conjunction with W-One, was also on display.
