Design and Personalisation
Bolder by design, the DB12 presents a more muscular appearance that gives an immaculate insight in to what lies beneath the sculptured lines of the DB12's athletic and perfectly proportioned physique.
An increase in track by 6mm at the front, and 22mm at the rear, give the DB12 a more powerful presence and dominating stance over the outgoing DB11.
Complemented by an all-new front end featuring a larger, re-shaped radiator and splitter framed by LED headlights and sitting on 21-inch forged wheels, the DB12 stands out for all the right reasons.
Showcasing, and sitting perfectly on Michelin Pilot Sport 5S tyres with noise-cancelling polyurethane foam inserts ensure tyre noise is reduced by 20 percent, meaning the DB12 offers ultimate performance, but also ultimate refinement.
Elsewhere, a 262-litre boot is surprising for a car of this calibre, but ensures long distance travel can still be practical.
Interior and Technology
An all-new bespoke infotainment system featuring a formidable suite of connected technology, complemented by a Bowers & Wilkins audio set up ensures a fine experience when behind the wheel or as a passenger in the DB12.
In an era where large digital screens dominate the dashboard, the DB12 does indeed adopt high-definition 1970x720 fully-digital screens, separated for both the instrument cluster and infotainment display, but does so in a beautifully clean way sculpturing them into a classic-like dashboard set up, enabling supreme focus on the driving experience at hand.
This is further blended with usability with items like the drive-mode selection and heating and ventilation settings getting individual buttons for complete driver connection.
With an industry-leading Electric Stability Programme, featuring four pre-defined modes including On, Off, Wet and Track, safety behind the wheel of the DB12 is further enhanced.
Engines and Performance
At the heart of the sharpest DB model ever is a 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 engine, producing a colossal 671bhp. This ensures the DB12 can accelerate from 0 to 62mph in just 3.6 seconds and go onto a top speed of 202mph.
Performance is also boosted by the new E-Diff, which can go from fully open to 100 percent locked in a matter of milliseconds ensuring maximum response for more precise and consistent handling.
Elsewhere, DB12’s bonded aluminium structure gets a 7 percent increase in global torsional stiffness, which ultimately helps the suspension perform better, aiding handling and allowing more feedback and feel for the driver.
Aston Martin DB12 Volante
The super tourer Aston Martin DB12 is also available in a Volante version too.
Developed in parallel with coupe version, the DB12 Volante uses the same evocative engine developing 671bhp from its 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, whilst also featuring the same 202mph top speed.
What is more, the Aston Martin DB12 Volante can accelerate from 0 to 62mph in just 3.7 seconds.
The Volante comes with a choice of roof and body colours and can also be ordered with bespoke finishes by Q by Aston Martin.
