Introducing the Aston Martin Valhalla

Aston Martin Valhalla is the first ever plug-in hybrid supercar from the British marque, combining relentless performance with Formula One technology.

As the first plug-in hybrid vehicle in Aston Martin's catalogue, the Valhalla excels at providing rapid acceleration with maximum efficiency.

The Valhalla showcases outstanding technology that has been improved throughout the years to allow the British marque to continue building for the future.

Chassis and Aerodynamics

Engineered to perform with excellence on European roads, the lightweight carbon fiber frame maintains the rigidity of the Valhalla whilst reducing the weight to only 1,655kg. The rear spoiler and diffuser work with the active aerodynamics to provide 600kg of downforce at 150mph to ensure maximum grip at high speeds.

The stiffness is enhanced through the use of a Formula One style monocoque chassis, making the perfect base for the aluminium subframes. This structure provides maximum performance on any track.

Designed with adaptive suspension technology, this is a vehicle that is just as comfortable on the road as it is on the track. The Carbon Ceramic Matrix Brakes have been developed to provide unrivalled stopping power.

Interior and Technology

Aiming at keeping the weight as low as possible without compromising on the aesthetic and performance, the interior design and onboard technology is minimalist but effective.

The reclined bucket seats provide a Formula One driving position without compromising on usability and comfort. With a steering wheel influenced by those used in Formula One vehicles, the Valhalla feels like a luxurious racing car.

In contrast with other cars in the same category, Valhalla comes with an innovative infotainment system as standard. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto applications are pre-installed, ensuring connectivity to smartphones is seamless.

As part of the onboard technology, Valhalla showcases a number of driver assistance systems, including:

  • Active Cruise Control
  • Forward Collision Warning
  • Blind Spot Monitoring
  • Rear View Parking Camera (with Surround View option)

Engine and Performance

Fitted with a 4.0-litre V8 engine providing 817bhp combined with three electric motors, Valhalla produces a total of 1,064bhp and 811lb ft of torque. The power from the hybrid system can be used to power either all four wheels or, for maximum performance, it can be redirected to the rear wheels.

With two of the motors connected to the front axle to provide torque vectoring, the third motor is connected to the 8-speed dual clutch gearbox, to provide torque fill whilst changing between the gears.

Accelerating in a Valhalla is an experience in itself. Capable of achieving 62mph in 2.5 seconds from resting, Valhalla will continue to accelerate until reaching its maximum speed of 217mph.
