Introducing the New BMW 7 Series
As the flagship luxury saloon from BMW, the 7 Series is the epitome of refinement and grandeur. First appearing in 1977, each new generation has pushed the envelope further on what is possible, and this latest iteration is no exception.
The BMW 7 Series looks to create new ways to witness sheer driving pleasure, with the benefit of unsurpassed long-distance comfort and the addition of the very best in digital experiences.
This generation of 7 Series looks to showcase a new definition of luxury that focuses on the personal and individual attitudes, needs, and emotions.
Design and Practicality
A modern exterior design is present with the BMW 7 Series, possessing a striking style which adheres to a new era of BMW design.
The iconic kidney grille design has a new take, using illumination along with Iconic Glow crystal headlights which use Swarovski crystal elements to further radiate personality.
Flowing side lines help transform the BMW 7 Series' large proportions into an aesthetically pleasing design with the legendary Hofmeister kink complete with a chrome element, like that of a precious jewel.
Finally, the rear showcases L-shaped lights for a sleek finish with invisible tailpipes to complete the classy and sophisticated look of orderly character.
Technology and Safety
BMW Theatre Screen ensures rear seat passengers are treated to a state-of-the-art viewing experience, complemented by a pair of 5.5-inch touch controlled displays in the rear doors.
These elements are joined by the multi-sensory vehicle experience of BMW iDrive with the latest BMW Operating System 8. These are further complemented by the BMW Curved Display to fully ensure the interior is a digital feast of state-of-the-art technology.
Safety is perfectly taken care of too. Manoeuvre Assistant, which allows automated parking is joined by emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, along with adaptive cruise control with semi-autonomous driving.
Engines and Performance
The BMW 750e xDrive comes with a 3.0-litre engine with plug-in hybrid technology, for a total power output of 482bhp.
And despite its large luxurious proportions, this particular 7 Series can go from 0 to 62mph in just 4.9 seconds, whilst returning up to 284mpg and 55 miles of pure electric range.
There is also a more powerful BMW M760e xDrive with 563bhp from a 3.0-litre engine, again with plug-in hybrid technology.
Acceleration from 0 to 62mph drops to just 4.3 seconds, with up to 256mpg economy and 52 miles of pure electric range.
