An exclusive version of the high performance Jaguar F-PACE SVR has been created to mark the brand’s victory at the Le Mans 24 hour race in 1988.
Just 394 examples will be built, one for each lap completed by the winning Jaguar at the famous French endurance race 34 years ago.
Powered by a 550ps V8 supercharged engine, the F-PACE SVR Edition 1988 will sit at the top of Jaguar’s SUV line-up and will be priced from £101,550.
It is the first limited edition of Jaguar’s high-performance SUV, created by its personalisation experts at SV Bespoke.
The car features a special paint finish, gold-coloured forged alloy wheels and exclusive Sunset Gold accents plus a ‘One of 394’ SV Bespoke commissioning graphic.
Other touches include semi-aniline leather upholstery and exclusive Sunset Gold Satin detailing across the dashboard, steering wheel spokes, gear shift paddles and the heated-and-cooled front Performance Seats.
The Jaguar leaper and horn ring on the steering wheel are finished in black, with SV Bespoke and Edition 1988 branding on the illuminated tread plates and dashboard.
The F-PACE SVR Edition 1988 is capable of accelerating from 0 to 62mph in 3.8 seconds and can reach a top speed of 178mph.
The car will be presented at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June 2022, and will make its dynamic debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
In the 1988 race, Jaguar ended the dominance of Porsche at the famous 24-hour race when a Silk Cut XJR-9LM driven by Johnny Dumfries, Jan Lammers, and Andy Wallace took the chequered flag.
The winning XJR-9LM covered a distance of 3,313 miles in the race, compared to the 2,732 miles completed by the victorious D-Type Jaguar in the 1957 event when the firm was dominant at Le Mans.
