Limited Edition Aston Martin DB9

Aston Martin is a brand that is synonymous with the James Bond franchise. In fact, the British marque first made an appearance in Goldfinger (1964) with the iconic DB5.

Such is the relationship between the pair, Aston Martin released a limited edition version of the outgoing DB9, which was built to mark the release of Spectre (2016).

Only 150 models were made, all of which had a number of subtle changes made to distinguish them from other DB9 variants, as we have highlighted below.

Bond Edition Exterior

Power remained unchanged in this limited edition DB9 GT. Although, with a 5.9-litre V12 engine producing 540bhp, and 0 to 62mph taking just 4.5 seconds, many would argue that the performance needed no improvement.

However, it is the smaller details that make the Bond Edition so special. Bespoke 20-inch, 10-spoke, alloy wheels were fitted, whilst the brake calipers were painted in grey. The front splitter and rear diffuser are made from carbon fibre, to aid with aerodynamics and weight reduction.

The bonnet vents, side strakes, and grille are all made from aluminium with a bright finish. They are pronounced features that contrast effortlessly with the Spectre Silver paint colour.

Elsewhere, you will be able to find discreet '007 Bond Edition', which are complemented by Stirling silver wing badges. Finishing off the exterior changes are black window surrounds.

Upon opening the doors, you are greeted by a sill plaque that bears the 007 logo, as well as a number that is exclusive to that particular car.

The leather sports seats are finished in Obsidian Black, with Galena Silver stitching used for a dramatic contrast. Alcantara covers the steering wheel, whilst carbon fibre can be found situated around the cabin.

Featuring the AMi II touch-sensitive infotainment system, Aston Martin added a unique Bond Edition screen that appears on start-up. Complementing the system is a Bang & Olufsen sound system, which encapsulates the driver and passengers in much the same way the sonorous exhaust sound does.

Bond Edition Accessories

As a brand recognised for creating numerous talking-points and having a meticulous attention to detail, Aston Martin included two special accessories with the DB9 GT Bond Edition.

Firstly, there was a Globe-Trotter trolley case that had an embossed leather luggage tag. The second and perhaps most fitting, was the inclusion of a bespoke Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m James Bond Limited Edition watch. This particular watch was finished with a tasteful Aston Martin strap.
