Design and Practicality
GV70 is available in three different guises. Premium, Sport and Luxury, which all give the GV70 a vibe tailored to your tastes.
Of course, the GV70 is a handsome urban SUV as standard, with a flowing dynamic body and various alloy wheel designs based on the model line you choose.
It is a practical SUV too, with plenty of luxury and space on offer within the cabin.
A 540-litre boot (503 litres in the electric version) increases to 1,610 litres with the rear seats folded, giving the GV70 a capacious load area and ensuring that the GV70 SUV is amongst the best in its class for practicality.
Technology and Safety
With many new cars getting in on the digital vibe, Genesis of course ensure that they are too, but done in a way that is just that little bit more impressive.
Every touchpoint feels ultra-premium, and the general dashboard layout makes you feel like you are cocooned in luxury.
A large 14.5-inch digital infotainment screen not only looks great, but can also be controlled by a quality feeling wheel on the centre console. A digital instrument cluster is again present too.
Adaptive cruise control, Blindspot Information System with Cross Traffic Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Lane-keep Assistance all help ensure the Genesis GV70 achieved a five-star rating when it was tested by Euro NCAP.
Engines and Performance
There are three different options when choosing your Genesis GV70.
There is a 2.5-litre petrol, with 300bhp and all-wheel drive, and an 8-speed automatic transmission, ensuring a 0 to 62mph time of a respectable 6.1 seconds, delivering up to 29mpg.
A 2.2-litre diesel is also available, with 198bhp, all-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic too. This takes 7.6 seconds to go from 0 to 62mph and can return up to 39mpg.
The most performance is seen in the electric version, which boasts 483bhp via a dual electric motor and battery set-up, allowing for 0 to 62mph in just 4.2 seconds, with up to 283 miles of electric range.
Charging
The electric version of the Genesis GV70 supports ultra-fast 350kW charging, meaning 10 to 80 percent charge can be done in just 18 minutes.
Other more conventional charging options via a wall box will depend on your chosen provider and charging speeds.
