It is a case of 75 and counting for the Land Rover Defender as the iconic model’s latest anniversary is marked with a new special edition variant.

The original Series 1 Defender was actually introduced at the Amsterdam Motor Show back in 1948 – and 75 years down the line, this exclusive version comes with some unique detailing.

Available in 90 or 110 body styles, it is finished in Grasmere Green paint - a hue reserved exclusively for the 75th Limited Edition.

Buyers of the special edition Land Rover will also get 20-inch alloy wheels also in Grasmere Green with matching centre caps and All-Terrain tyres, a unique 75 Years graphic, Ceres Silver bumpers and privacy glass.

The Defender’s interior has received similar treatment, with the cross car beam finished in green powder coat and laser-etched 75 Years detailing on the end caps.

Meanwhile, the seats are finished in Resist Ebony, with the hockey stick on the centre console featuring the most robust fabric available on the Defender.

The ’75th’ is based on the high-spec HSE trim grade, with standard kit like a 3D surround camera, configurable terrain response, a Meridian sound system, Matrix LED front lighting, 11.4-inch Pivi Pro infotainment set-up, head-up display plus a wireless device charger with signal booster.

All models also feature a folding fabric roof or the option of a sliding panoramic roof with roof rails, while extra comfort is provided by 14-way driver and passenger heated electric memory seats, a heated steering wheel and 3-zone climate control.

And all vehicles have been pre-configured to include options like a towing pack, headlamp power wash, electrically adjustable steering column, secure Tracker Pro and domestic plug socket.

Powertrain choices include the P400e plug-in hybrid on 110 models, in addition to the D300 Ingenium mild hybrid diesel.

Prices are from £85,995 for the Defender 90 and £89,995 for the 110.

Prices correct as of 14/09/22 and are subject to change.
