New Mercedes-Benz eCitan Van: Prices and Specifications

The new all-electric eCitan van from Mercedes-Benz will cost from £33,995 when it goes on sale in October.

Dubbed by its makers the most highly-equipped small van, the eCitan has an official range of up to 176 miles and can be recharged to 80 percent capacity is 35 minutes.

Production and delivery of the L1 panel van variant are anticipated to take place in October 2023, with orders for L2 versions following later this year and crew van models early next year.

Available in two trim levels, Progressive and Premium, the eCitan is equipped to offer businesses greater efficiency, safety as well as the best possible real-world range.

In Progressive specification, equipment includes active brake assist with pedestrian and cyclist recognition, a reversing camera and rear parking sensors, an emergency call system and a navigation system.

The Premium trim is priced from £35,970 and adds 16-inch light-alloy wheels, colour-coded bumpers, LED headlights and fog lamps and metallic paint.

All prices are excluding VAT and the OZEV Plug-in Van Grant contribution.

The eCitan comes with a 3-year, unlimited mileage warranty and battery capacity cover for eight years or 100,000 miles.

Safety equipment includes active brake assist, hill start assist and crosswind assist which reduces the effects of buffeting by assisting drivers with braking action at the front and rear wheel on the side of the oncoming wind.

On models fitted with an optional tow-bar, which has a braked capacity of up to 1.45 tonnes, a stabilisation aid is also fitted which uses braking to stop swaying.
