Design and Practicality
The BMW iX2 is based upon the BMW X2, and therefore sports the second generation of that car's dynamic silhouette, albeit with some slight styling tweaks as seen on the rest of the fully-electric models offered by BMW.
Essentially, it looks very similar to the fuel powered BMW X2, which ensures it looks the part, whilst being somewhat subtle about its fully-electric heart.
This is great for those who want an electric car that does not shout about it too much, instead being admired for its sophisticated styling, which ties in with the new BMW design language.
That being said, the iX2 is far from dull, offering a pronounced coupé silhouette and dynamic lines, complemented by standard 20-inch wheels to ensure it stands out for the right reasons.
A wide track helps give the car more presence, along with having increased length and height than the previous generation of the BMW X2, of which there was no electric version.
Boot space is decent for an electric vehicle with 525 litres available.
Technology and Safety
Complementing a sophisticated exterior, is an interior full of technology, space and cutting-edge features to make the iX2 a superb place to spend time, along with keeping occupants safe.
A fully-digital vibe ensures BMW Operating System 9 is presented via a curved 10.25-inch infotainment display, joined by a 10.7-inch instrument cluster.
You will find Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard, whilst also the availability of BMW Digital Premium means customers can make use of music and video streaming, with gaming also able to be enjoyed (gaming feature accessible when car is stationary).
Multiple drive modes ensure customising your driving experience is possible. Personal, Sport and Efficient come as standard, whilst BMW Digital Premium extends modes adding in: Expressive, Relax and Digital Art modes.

Engines and Performance
Of course, with the iX2 being fully-electric there are no engines. Instead, you will need the BMW X2 for those.
The BMW iX2 instead uses two electric motors and a high-voltage battery which generate an impressive 309bhp. This ensures a 0 to 62mph time of just 5.6 seconds.
What is more, a total range of between 259 and 266 miles is possible depending on driving style and conditions which will evidently also have an effect on possible range.
Charging
The BMW iX2 is equipped with an advanced Combined Charging Unit. Effectively this means the charging capability is enhanced and means charging can be as little as 29 minutes - when charging from 10 to 80 percent when using a fast charging station.
AC charging can take between 3 hours 45 minutes and up to 6.5 hours depending on exact charging method.
