BMW’s Z4 roadster has been updated to include a fresh design to the exterior with enhanced standard equipment and a wider range of options.
M Sport equipment is now standard across the line-up with starts from £42,305 with the Z4 M40i costing from £53,720.
The engine line-up in the UK comprises of a 4-cylinder option for the 20i M Sport and a 6-cylinder in-line unit in the M40i.
Performance figures are 0 to 62mph acceleration times of 6.6 seconds for the Z4 20i and 4.5 seconds for the 6-cylinder model.
Top speeds are 149mph and 155mph with fuel economy of 40.9mpg for the 4-cylinder version and 35.8mpg for the more powerful M40i with its engine delivering 340hp.
Emissions are rated at 157g/km at best for the 20i and 179g/km for the M40i.
With M Sport specification now standard, the Z4 now comes with 3-section air intakes in the front apron and remodelled side air intakes. Changes have also been made to the grille to make it appear sportier.
Driver assistance features include front collision and lane departure warning, while active cruise control, rear and cross traffic warnings are options, as is a head-up display.
The interior is fitted with BMW’s Live Cockpit Professional system, which includes a fully digital instrument cluster and control display, both with 10.25-inch screens.
