Design and Practicality
The new CLE Coupé is the perfect balance between Mercedes-Benz' Sensual Purity philosophy and modernity with a touch of sporty elegance. Adding to the elegant aesthetic, the radiator grille was designed with a single louvre in glossy black with chrome trim and a central star. With a unique design of the new flat LED headlights complement the athletic aesthetic greatly. The new CLE is the largest Coupé in its segment, 15 millimetres longer than the C-Class Coupé.
The interior design is a luxury of its own. On the doors, the leather finish brings an exclusive feel to the touch, and the seats can be easily adjusted by the buttons which are ergonomically placed on the door. Great for a weekend getaway, the spacious boot can accommodate luggage comfortably can be effortlessly closed at the touch of a button.
This model features an ample rear that can fit two people with a comfortable leg space. The speakers are placed in the seats to provide an outstanding sound experience.
Technology and Safety
This model is equipped with modern technology that allows safe and comfortable driving. The new drivers assistance systems have been improved to offer support and safety. The MBUX infotainment system makes for an intuitive user experience, thanks to its slick menus and host of features, which include voice, touch and gesture controls.
MBUX offers a wide range of options for configuration customisation such as displays style and outlook for sporty driving making key information always at view. This system has been further developed to provide a new dimension of personalisation and interaction using a 5G communication module transmission.

CLE uses artificial intelligence (AI) to learn the driver’s habits and preferences to set the configuration automatically. The vitality programme was created to provide comfort with the ENERGIZING seat kinetics supporting back muscles with small movements at all time.
Engines and Performance
The new design allows for electrification and intelligent downsizing to set standards in efficiency. There are two options of engine to choose from, available in diesel, petrol and mild hybrid.
The most powerful engine offered for this model is the 3.0-litre straight six with an integrated starting generator that allows it to achieve up to 36.2mpg on a combined cycle. This is impressive given the 375bhp and 369 lb-ft of torque that delivers exhilarating performance.
There is a choice of 4-cylinder unit engine for an economical drive. The sports suspension offers the perfect balance as it enables agile driving on winding roads at the same time as providing comfort over long distances.
The precise guidance of the front wheels boasting multi-link suspension, the CLE Coupé provides excellent stability on the road, providing high levels of confidence for the driver.
