Experience the confidence of knowing help is always available with Mercedes-Benz Roadside Assistance, included complimentary for three years with any new Mercedes-Benz and one year with all approved used Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
Cover is also available for customers with cars registered from 24th October 1998* and is automatically activated or renewed on completion of a service by one of our Stratstone Mercedes-Benz retailers.
This program ensures you will receive prompt assistance in the event of a breakdown, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
What is Included?
With Mercedes-Benz free roadside assistance, you will receive a number of convenient benefits, including:
- Technical Breakdown**: If you cannot start your car or breakdown for technical or safety reasons, we will get you running.
- Minor Mishap: If you suffer a puncture, lose your keys, or run out of petrol, you are covered with free roadside assistance.
- Accident Assistance: Regardless of fault, we will get your car home or to your nearest Stratstone Mercedes-Benz retailer.
- Vandalism & Theft: If your journey is impeded after vandalism, we will be there for you.
What do I need to do?
Firstly, make sure you and your passengers are in a safe location away from traffic. This might involve pulling over to the side of the road, a car park, or a designated breakdown area.
Once you're safe, simply call the Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Centre at 00800 1777 7777. They will ask you for some information to speed up your service:
- Registration Number
- Your Location: If your Mercedes me connect functionality is enabled, it might help pinpoint your location.
- Describe Your Issue: Briefly describe the issue you are experiencing with your car. This helps dispatch the most qualified technician to address your specific needs.
Once you have contacted the Customer Assistance Centre with your details, there are a few procedures that will need to be carried out, such as:
- Expert Assessment: Our team will assess your breakdown and determine the necessary equipment.
- Communication: We will keep you informed about the estimated arrival time of the technician.
- On-Site Repair: Our goal is to resolve the issue at the breakdown location so you can get back on the road quickly.
- Recovery and Repair: If on-site repair is not possible, your car will be towed to a Mercedes-Benz dealership for further repairs.
- Additional Assistance: We understand breakdowns can be inconvenient. To help you continue your journey, we may offer transportation options to get you to your destination, as well as accommodation and flight assistance.
Mercedes-Benz Rescue Assist
Mercedes-Benz Rescue Assist goes beyond traditional roadside assistance, providing vital information to first responders in the event of an accident. A QR code located inside your vehicle grants emergency personnel instant access to critical details about your car, including:
- Structural framework to help guide safe extrication procedures.
- Location of airbags and hazardous materials for firefighter safety.
This innovative system can expedite rescue efforts and potentially save lives.
All new Mercedes-Benz models are fitted with Rescue Assist QR Rescue Codes during production. For cars manufactured from 1990 onwards, Mercedes-Benz is offering a free-of-charge retrofit service.
