Design and Practicality
Taking inspiration from the e-tron GT, the new Audi A6 Avant e-tron features a distinct progressive presence from the front, which flows effortlessly through the iconic Avant body style.
A wide stance, complemented by large 20-inch twin 5 spoke alloy wheels, or if you would prefer you can also spec 21-inch wheels on some specifications, which further add to the A6 Avant e-tron's presence.
And, for the first time on an Audi, the rear Audi rings are now illuminated, adding to the futuristic overall vibe.
Futuristic it may be, owners can still specify their A6 Avant e-tron in familiar Audi trim levels, such as S Line, which brings a certain iconicity and nod to Audi's heritage.
Moving onto practicality, and it comes as no suprise that the Avant bodystyle is reknowned for offering incredible space, so there is no surprise when you see the that there is a huge 502-litre boot, which increases further still to 1,422 litres with the rear seats folded. And if that was not enough, there is also an additional 27-litre frunk, too.
Technology and Safety
Being fully-electric is just the start of the cutting-edge technology on offer with the new Audi A6 Avant e-tron. Once you enter the cabin, you're captivated with a digital stage consisting of a large, slim, curved panoramic display which is focused towards the driver, and contains the infotainment as well as the iconic Audi virtual cockpit plus.
Plus, safety is state-of-the-art too with augmented reality coming as part of the optional Sound and Vision pack, whilst as standard, the A6 Avant e-tron features a Drive and Park assistance pack with surround view camera.
There is also front and rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control and even parking assist plus, which enables remote controlled parking via the Audi app.
Engines and Performance
The new Audi A6 Avant e-tron is available as a pure electric model, and uses an 800-volt lithium-ion battery, which is located in the underbody, along with an electric motor for excellent weight distribution, and to aid practicality.
This ensures the new Audi A6 Avant e-tron has 362bhp, allowing 0 to 62mph to take place in just 5.4 seconds when launch control is activated.
And, thanks to the Audi A6 e-tron featuring fine aerodynamics, the high performance is further enhanced by the ability to deliver up to 463 miles of total range, meaning the Audi A6 e-tron is both fast and efficient.
Charging
New Audi A6 Avant e-tron has the ability for fast charging. Therefore, it is possible to charge up to 270kW (DC), allowing 10 to 80 percent charge in just 21 minutes.
It is also possible to get 183 miles of range in just 10 minutes. As with all charging times, it will depend on available set-up or charging method chosen.
