BMW 3 Series Touring

BMW 3 Series Touring

The BMW 3 Series is simply iconic. Since its launch in the '70s, the 3 Series has offered class, refinement and a fine driving experience. This has resulted in the BMW 3 Series being the most popular model sold by the German manufacturer year after year, unsurprising, as it is the textbook answer for those looking for a premium car that can do it all.

The BMW 3 Series Touring enhances the brilliance and appeal of the 3 Series, whilst keeping the characteristics and looks BMW are known for. There are multiple engine choices too, from dynamic petrol options, to diesel alternatives that provide excellent economy as well as performance.

If you require even more space, the 3 Series has a sibling which is also excellent, in the form of the BMW 5 Series Touring.

Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate

Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate

From one German icon to another. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class has always ensured that the BMW 3 Series, mentioned previously, has not had the limelight all to itself.

Just like the BMW, this Mercedes-Benz is adored by many and is the most popular model sold by Mercedes-Benz. The C-Class also features cutting-edge technology, a trait Mercedes-Benz is renown for, having demonstrated pioneering firsts on other Mercedes-Benz models, such as the S-Class, which of course filter into other cars, just like this one.

Jaguar XF Shooting-Brake

Jaguar XF Sportbrake Blog

Jaguar is another brand who build some properly iconic cars. Their history and heritage speak for themselves. And although the XF has only been around since 2007, it has made itself a solid case for a great option when looking to buy a premium vehicle, and mirrors the others previously mentioned.

Like the competition, the XF is offered in multiple body styles, including an ultra-practical estate, which Jaguar refer to as the Shooting-Brake. Meaning Jaguar certainly trump the regular estate name as Shooting-Brake is much more appealing.

It is fair to say that the Jaguar XF Shooting-Brake is rarer too, and this is no bad thing. You still receive superb levels of comfort, refinement and of course space. Plus, it is a 'Jag', meaning you will be driving a renowned, British automotive icon.

Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo

Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo

So it turns out German car manufacturers know how to build a successful estate car, although the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo is not really your run-of-the-mill estate car. Just like the Jaguar, it's more of a cooler shooting-brake estate, but an estate no less. Although Sport Turismo is the Porsche way to describe it. Yet another cool name.

Being a Porsche, the quality is nothing short of superb and you get more space than that of the standard Panamera. However, being a Porsche, you can guarantee performance is on another level, and there is even a hybrid version available too.

Build quality and technology is superb, and the comfort is ultra-impressive, being able to cover great distances with ease. Of course, depending on specification, it is by far the most expensive car in this list, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Audi A4 Avant

Audi A4 Avant

Yet another German manufacturer, but how could we not include Audi? Just like its German counterparts, they have an estate version of their popular saloon models. The Audi A4 Avant is the estate version of the popular Audi A4 saloon.

First seen in the mid 1990s, the Audi A4 was perhaps not as successful when first launched in comparison to its competition, but over time, Audi have made the A4 much more desirable, and the Avant versions have followed suit; Avant being Audi speak for estate.

The most iconic Audi Avant models are the RS badged ones. These started with the success of the Audi RS2 - a car which had some Porsche parts (believe it or not) for good measure. In recent times the RS4 and RS6 have ensured Audi Avant models have become the stuff of legend. The ultimate dog carriers...
