Design and Practicality
The new BMW iX1 is the perfect addition showcasing the iconic capabilities of the superb BMW X range, only this time it is available as a fully-electric offering in the BMW X1 range.
Easily identifiable as a BMW X model, the new iX1 comes as the perfect answer for those wanting an introduction to the BMW X series, whilst also taking advantage of the benefits of fully-electric motoring.
You can tell this is a model of the BMW X1 range, and so there is a large, almost square double kidney grille, accompanied by a slim adaptive LED headlights just like the regular X1. However, you can tell the new iX1's electric nature thanks to the textbook BMW i blue detailing, as seen on other fully-electric BMWs.
Sport, xLine and M Sport specifications ensure you can tailor your own unique style when creating your new iX1.
Technology and Safety
A slim and frameless BMW Curved Display gives the interior a cutting-edge vibe, complemented by a switch/sliding central console incorporating unique features such as wireless charging. Occupants will notice a lack of buttons, as the iX1 is very much a car you can control with minimal touch and voice controls.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come as standard allowing you to stay connected whilst on the move, which work well with the BMW i technology and cutting-edge vibes, which is further enhanced by BMW My Modes.

Range and Performance
In today's electric car offerings, you need a decent range to compete and the new iX1 has no problem with up to 296 miles (WLTP) of range from a single charge, ensuring plenty of range for everyday use with ease.
As for performance, this is a BMW and so it is of course not lacking. The eDrive20 offers 201bhp and takes 8.6 seconds to go from 0 to 62mph. The more powerful xDrive30 has 309bhp and can accelerate from 0 to 62mph in just 5.7 seconds, ensuring everyday driving is brisk and effortless.
Charging
As for charging solutions, with the Flexible Charger the new BMW iX1 can offer convenient charging at home with speeds of up to 3.7kW.
There is also the possibility of a faster charge with a Solo 3 Smart Home Charger from Pod Point offering speeds of between 7kW and 22kW.
You can recharge up to 80 percent of the range in 29 minutes at public high-speed charging stations with a charging speed of 127kW.
