The 2015 MINI John Cooper Works Launch
14th May 2015
But it's not all about power, as the JCW offers excellent driving dynamics, with systems such as Electronic Differential Lock Control and firmer suspension settings which keep the MINI more controlled than ever - even coming with four-piston Brembo brakes as standard.
So when the all-new 2015 MINI John Cooper Works visited Stratstone retail centres it was no ordinary weekend.
Guests were given a unique opportunity to experience the John Cooper Works first-hand with a test drive. They could explore the distinct John Cooper Works interior with quilted 'Dinamica' fabric, and additions like 18" Race Spoke Alloy Wheels, before anyone else.
A celebration of the MINI racetrack pedigree, the Challenge 210 sports several new features, including an exhaust note that you can control via Bluetooth and carbon fibre trim.
There was also a focus on the huge variety of sports and tuning kits available for any 3-door or 5-door hatch.
Stratstone MINI Derby
Stratstone MINI Derby featured the all-new MINI John Cooper Works in a svelte-looking Midnight Black, with red trim and a red roof. Surrounded by a red and white tyre sidewall which hinted at the MINI's racing intentions, the second generation JCW Certainly stood out as guests clamoured to see the fastest MINI ever. It was joined by the extremely rare MINI Challenge 210 edition.
Stratstone MINI Harrogate
The MINI John Cooper Works at Stratstone MINI Harrogate made a real impact, adorned in Pepper White. It was again joined by the MINI 210 Challenge Edition, but also by a Cooper S with the JCW Pro Tuning Kit and Exhaust. The kit offers multiple enhancements to any standard MINI hatch, with a specially voiced John Cooper Works exhaust (with optional carbon fibre cladding) and a significant tuning boost to Cooper S models which can increase output to 210 bhp.
