Improvements have been made to the interior, technology has been updated and the addition of an all-new Plug-in Hybrid variant means the Range Rover Sport has an electrified option for the very first time.

All Stratstone Land Rover Retailers have demonstrator vehicles - including the new PHEV P400e - available for test drive. Book your experience with us using the button below, or view our latest offers here.

Design

Visually, the 2018 model has been modernised but maintains the muscular proportions of the Range Rover Sport, while the new Matrix Pixel LED headlights sit alongside a more aggressive front bumper that incorporates an improved grille design. These new headlights are made up of 144 individual LEDs and are capable of responding to external light sources and shadow themselves so as not to dazzle other road users.

Looking at the rear of the vehicle, the assertive design is accentuated by dynamic integrated exhausts which serve to enhance the sporty nature of the new Range Rover Sport.

Integrated Technology

The most important update from inside the cabin is the new state-of-the-art Touch Pro Duo infotainment system - it's billed as the most technologically advanced system ever installed in a Jaguar Land Rover vehicle. It's made up of dual 10-inch high-definition touchscreens, and allows you to view navigation on one screen and control certain functions - such as the climate or media settings - from the other.

Another screen, this time 12.3 inches in size, is used for the interactive driver display and can be tailored to the driver's preference showing navigation, media or driving mode alongside the speedometer and tachometer. This works in tandem with the full-colour head-up display so you have all the information you need in your line of sight.

In-car connectivity is at an all-time high with 4 HDMI ports and 5 USB ports as well as a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot.

New Range Rover Sport also comes with the Land Rover Activity Key, which is a waterproof wristband that allows drivers to leave their regular key inside their car while enjoying outdoor activities and unlock the vehicle with the wristband.

Another notable new feature is the gesture-controlled sunblind; simply swipe forwards or backwards below the rear-view mirror and the blind will open and close automatically.

Performance

The 2018 Range Rover Sport marks a new and exciting chapter in the vehicle's long and distinguished history, with the inclusion of its first ever plug-in hybrid drivetrain. The 398hp P400e combines petrol power with an electric motor for exceptional efficiency and performance.

Petrol engines include a 340hp supercharged 3.0L V6 and an incredible 525hp supercharged 5.0L V8 that propels the car from 0-62mph in just 5 seconds. Smooth and progressive driving is provided by a choice of 2.0L SD4 and 3.0L SDV6 diesel engines, which generate 240hp and 306hp respectively.

The new flagship SVR model produces an astonishing 575hp from its supercharged 5.0L V8, accelerating from 0-60mph in just 4.3 seconds.

To make the most of the powerful and responsive engine range, the mew Range Rover Sport is underpinned by a lightweight aluminium architecture for improved acceleration, braking and handling.

Air suspension and switchable driver modes give you the confidence to exploit the power of the engine while maintaining composure and stability at all times.
