Rain Doesnt Stop Play: Car Cafe Wilmslow

16th Jun 2018

With warmer weather hitting the UK recently, Car Café decided to go all out in June and hold two Car Café meets at the same time at different locations. They meets were on Saturday 16th June 2018 at Wilmslow and Wolverhampton.

Unfortunately, both meets were subject to the UK's unpredictable weather system. However, Car Café is no stranger to rain, and in true car enthusiast style the rain didn't put off those who wanted to show us their metal in Wilmslow.

Cars in attendance

Taking place at the Stratstone Aston Martin Service Centre in Wilmslow, this great location always attracts a selection of stunning cars. Despite the weather, this was the case yet again.

Supercars and sports cars

A white McLaren 570s and silver Ferrari 488 Spider provided the supercar kicks for those attending. These were joined by a number of exquisite sports cars including a sleek 911 (991) Turbo, classy Aston Martin Vanquish S and a stunning Cinnabar Orange Aston Martin DB11 V8.

Fit for the track

Elsewhere, an eclectic trio consisting of a Honda NSX, Lancia Montecarlo and Lotus Elise looked great together – especially with the NSX and Montecarlo sporting race car inspired liveries, along with the Elise having a white racing stripe too.

An eclectic trio

Another trio included a muscle car, classic car and track car. Muscle was provided in the form of a blue Dodge Challenger, complete with an iconic HEMI V8 engine, which although sat next to another V8 – the cars couldn’t have looked more different.

The other V8 in question was a 1950 Ford Pilot, which considering is now 68 years old, looked in superb condition. A superb track toy completed the trio - a moody black Caterham Super 7, which looked even more menacing with the moody skies overhead.
