Do you offer collection?

Unfortunately we are unable to offer a collection service, so you will need to arrange getting your car to us. However, once your car is with us in a dealership our dedicated Team Members will be able to assist you throughout the Sell Your Car process. Locate your nearest Stratstone retailer to start the process off.

I've lost my V5, will you still buy my car?

Unfortunately, we are unable to purchase any car without the original V5 document/logbook. If you do not have one you can obtain a replacement from the DVLA, find out more on the DVLA website.

I have outstanding finance, can you still buy my car?

Of course. We deal with finance settlements every day, so can arrange the settlement of your current agreement. Our buying assistants will guide you through this process on the day, and the settlement amount will be deducted from the amount paid to you for the car.

I have a cherished number plate, can I still sell my car?

We're happy to buy your car with its cherished number plate still on. However, in the more likely event that you want to keep your plate, it's easy to reassign it to another car or put it on retention. This would need to be done prior to selling your car to us to find out more about your personalised registration please visit the DVLA website.

Can I sell my car to you on behalf of someone who has deceased?

Do I leave my car with you if I agree to sell?

Yes. Once you've agreed to sell your car to us you will leave your car with your buying assistant, who will organise your payment. So you will need to organise getting home, or we can arrange for a local taxi to come and collect you, just ask your buying assistant. Or better still, you may have found a car in one of our retailers that you like.

Is there a transaction fee?

Certainly not. Unlike some other car buying services, there is no transaction fee if you decide to sell to us regardless of the value of your car. If you would like more information on the service, please refer to our terms and conditions.

Do I have to make a purchase to sell my car?

No. You can use our service without having to make a purchase through us.

How will you pay for my car?

 It's simple. After agreeing the valuation with you, we will transfer your money into your account within 3 working days from completing your paperwork. There are no charges or admin costs so you can have your money paid directly into your bank to spend on whatever you want. You can start the process off today by entering your vehicle registration and contact details into our online valuation service and we will email you an indicative valuation.

Need your money a bit sooner?

For a small fixed sum of £15 you can have the money paid directly into your account on the same working day. Provided we can process your transaction before 2 PM you can have it in your account that day. If you decide to sell to us over a weekend, your same working day payment will be processed on the Monday (Bank Holiday weekends will be on a Tuesday) Arrange your appointment online today or call us direct on 03332028613

My car is a non-runner, can I still sell it?

Yes! You will need to arrange getting your car down to us, and our buying assistant will take care of the rest. Visit our aftersales pages to discover whether our Aftercare Team can assist in any way.

I've owned my car for less than 12 months; will you still buy it?

If you have owned the vehicle for less than 12 months, we may ask to see proof of purchase before we offer a valuation on your vehicle. Unfortunately, we are unable to purchase vehicles which have been bought at auction or from a salvage company. If you have owned the vehicle for less than 6 months, we may also inspect your vehicle on a ramp prior to offering a valuation.
