Configuring the perfect Evoque
Sometimes we find it hard to believe that the Range Rover Evoque was introduced in 2011. The original model's design still looks contemporary in modern traffic, while the quality interior finish has aged gracefully.
The success of the Evoque naturally warranted a sequel, which was subsequently released in 2018. With even more potential for unique configurations and individual touches made available, it was no great surprise that the Evoque remained a strong favourite in its class.
With that said, we wanted to demonstrate just how much customisation is available within the Range Rover Evoque's configurator. We asked five team members to create their perfect car, which should give you a good idea of just how simple it is to make your particular Evoque stand out from the crowd.
Matt's (Graphic Designer) Carpathian Grey Evoque Autobiography P300e PHEV
As a Graphic Designer, Matt has a sharp eye for what looks good, which reflects in his configuration. Complementing the Evoque's lines is Carpathian Grey, which Matt has paired with a black contrasting roof for maximum effect. Red brake calipers sit behind the gloss black 20-inch Style 5079 alloy wheels, breaking up the dark theme Matt has opted for.
Inside, Matt has continued the theme but with a twist. The quilted perforated Windsor leather seats are finished in a mixture of Eclipse and Ebony, adding a different dimension to the Evoque's finish. Clearly an audiophile, Matt has opted for the Meridian™ Surround Sound System.
As a fan of trips into the countryside for recreational activities, Matt selected the optional Activity Key with this Evoque, allowing him to enjoy his day without having to worry about misplacing or damaging the key fob.
Paige's (Digital Content Executive) Nolita Grey Evoque R-Dynamic S P300 MHEV
Another contemporary configuration, but this time it comes from Paige. The Nolita Grey body colour works beautifully with the 20-inch alloy wheels, which Paige has finished in a gloss dark grey with contrast Diamond Turned finish.
Onto the cabin, where Paige has opted for grained leather seats that are finished in an Ebony colour. A Linear Dark Aluminium trim finisher and Interactive Driver Display give the cabin an uplift, while the vibrant 10-inch touchscreen will undeniably get plenty of use on a daily basis.
Although Paige has not selected too many optional extras, the ones she has chosen complement an already sophisticated configuration. Premium cabin lighting works in tandem with the sliding panoramic roof to create a warming ambiance, and the ClearSight interior rear view mirror adds a new dimension to visibility as it displays what is behind you courtesy of a camera fitted to the rear.
Daniel's (PR Specialist) Santorini Black Evoque Autobiography P300e PHEV
It is evident that Daniel wanted a classic finish with his Evoque. Santorini Black is an elegant colour that perfectly accentuates the contouring lines of the Evoque, while the 20-inch alloy wheels have been finished in gloss dark grey with a Diamond Turned finish for the ultimate contrast.
The tinted glass provides plenty of privacy for passengers, while a fixed panoramic roof allows natural light to filter into the cabin. Brightening up the cabin are the perforated Windsor leather seats, which have been finished in a tasteful Cloud/Ebony colour.
Daniel had the same idea as Matt with his engine choice. The P300e PHEV utilises plug-in hybrid technology to maximise fuel economy while simultaneously improving refinement when navigating the urban jungle. Daniel has not opted for too many additional extras, but the inclusion of a heated windscreen and heated washer jets should prove very useful during the winter.
Sophie's (Customer Engagement Executive) Yulong White Evoque R-Dynamic HSE P200 MHEV
Sophie has opted for a subtle finish that places an emphasis on comfort with her Evoque. The Yulong White body colour will undoubtedly stand the test of time, while the black roof and Black Exterior Pack add a tasteful contrast.
Although the 18-inch Style 5074 alloy wheels do not have the same presence as larger options, the thicker tyres will translate to a more refined driving experience. On the inside, Sophie has gone for perforated Windsor leather seats in a Cloud and Ebony contrast, while Ebony Morzine can be found on the headlining.
Evidently a fan of wafting down the road, Sophie has elected the P200 as her choice of engine. Offering a blend of performance and excellent fuel economy, thanks to the addition of mild hybrid (MHEV) technology, this engine is an outstanding all-round performer.
Viky's (JLR Marketing Leader) Carpathian Grey Evoque Autobiography P300e PHEV
Viky has opted for a subtle and stealthy look with her Evoque configuration. The range-topping Autobiography model Viky has gone for gets 21-inch Style 5077 alloy wheels alongside Matrix LED headlights and an Autobiography badge pack.
Although a fixed panoramic roof has been a popular choice on this list, Viky has access to a sliding roof with her choice, which should make a welcome addition throughout the summer. Alongside a classic Ebony interior, Viky has opted for Wi-Fi, allowing everyone to connect their smart devices without using their own data.
Clearly planning on towing, Viky has selected the optional Advanced Tow Assist driver aid, a system that helps the driver reverse a trailer using the rotary Terrain Response 2 controller. Combined with the electrically deployable tow bar and Viky will be ready for any adventure that includes a trailer or caravan.
