Charging
Accompanying the 2 Series Active Tourer Plug-in Hybrid is the standard BMW charging cable and an AC fast charging cable (Type 2) for public charging. These cables provide the user with plenty of charging options. The system will also harvest energy that is usually lost during braking and coasting to support the combustion engine, with the result being greater efficiency and lower fuel consumption.
When charging at home using a domestic socket, your battery can be charged from 0 to 100 percent in under 8 hours. Using a wallbox or public charging station can reduce this time significantly to under 2.5 hours.
