Despite the performance available, the Hatch JCW can achieve between 38.7 and 40.9mpg on a combined cycle.
Chassis and Handling
MINI's plethora of cars have always been renowned for offering an outstanding driving experience, and the JCW builds on those foundations.
The first thing you may notice are the large brake calipers that sit behind the front wheels. Finished in red, and sporting the brand logo, these calipers offer stronger stopping power and have an improved resistance to fading over prolonged use.
Each car comes with sports suspension, which is stiffer than the regular model, and ultimately results in a more agile and responsive drive. With so much grip available, MINI have fitted the Hatch JCW with sports seats. The additional bolstering around the sides and legs ensure you feel secure when exploring the car's capabilities.

Technology and Drive Modes
While the Hatch JCW is clearly engineered to devour back roads, it can also be tailored to other driving conditions through the selectable driving modes, which include: Green, Mid and Sport.
By adjusting throttle response and recommending gear changes at lower RPMs (in manual cars), Green mode is ideal for saving fuel and improving efficiency. On the opposite end of the spectrum is Sport mode, which enhances throttle response and makes the Hatch JCW immensely good fun to drive. Mid represents the best of both worlds.
Occupying the central dashboard is the brand's clever infotainment system. Its intuitive menus make it easy to navigate between features such as the sat nav and driving settings.
