Introducing the new MINI Cooper 3-Door
The iconic MINI Cooper family expands with the introduction of two new petrol models in the form of the MINI Cooper C and the performance focused MINI Cooper S.
Following on from the all-new MINI, first seen in the all-new fully-electric version, the Cooper C and Cooper S also combine minimalist design, tradition and of course, iconic go-kart handling.
By offering both all-electric and petrol versions of the new MINI Cooper, finding your perfect MINI is easy, no matter your preference.
Design and Practicality
This new fifth generation MINI Cooper is easily recognisable as a MINI with its distinct silhouette, creative use of space and textbook short overhangs.
Chrome no longer appears on the exterior for a more modern and sleeker look, whilst the optional LED lights can be customised with three light signatures, along with the rear matrix lights able to be switched into different modes, keeping the iconic Cooper fresh and cutting-edge.
New MINI Cooper is also available in three distinct trims: Classic, Exclusive and Sport, with each trim offering a plethora of interior and exterior personalisation options. These trims appear both in the Cooper C and more dynamic Cooper S.
Technology and Safety
Inspired by the classic Mini, the interior of the MINI Cooper is minimalist, with the entire cockpit comprising three key features.
These are the new Vescin steering wheel, a 24cm cirular OLED display (in the centre of the dashboard, giving a nod to the original Mini) and a toggle bar. The OLED display is ultra-crisp and can be voice operated for ease via MINI Operating System 9.
An optional Head-up Display ensures if you want the key driving information directly in your field of vision, you can in the new MINI Cooper.
The toggle bar ensures easy access to key driving functions, such as the parking brake, gear selector, start/stop, Experience Mode and volume control.
Numerous safety assistance systems ensure peace of mind in the new MINI Cooper. Safe Exit comes as standard and monitors the area around the car and warns before the door is opened.
Driving Assistant Plus provides even more in terms of safety, with lane keeping, automatic speed and distance control to make the overall MINI Cooper driving experience much more pleasant.
Engines and Performance
There is a choice of two petrol engines in the new MINI Cooper, which relate to either the version you opt for, whether it be the Cooper C or Cooper S.
The MINI Cooper C uses a 3-cylinder engine which produces 154bhp, accelerating from 0 to 62mph in 7.7 seconds.
Meanwhile, the MINI Cooper S offers more performance from its 4-cylinder engine, which produces 201bhp. This means accelerating is enhanced with 0 to 62mph taking just 6.6 seconds.
Both models feature iconic go-kart like handling, making them extremely fun to drive, whilst the MINI Cooper S is for those who like their MINI Cooper with added performance.
There also happens to be seven MINI Experience Modes, allowing you to further tailor your driving depending on your mood.
Choose between: Core, Green, Go-Kart, Personal, Vivid, Timeless and Balance.
