The new B-Class is now available at all Stratstone Mercedes-Benz dealerships.
Interior

Inside the B-Class, you will experience the iconic and beautifully designed architecture similar to that of the new A-Class. The B-Class however occupies two cut outs - split between the driver and passenger sides with the drivers' side hosting the iconic standing display unit, available with two 7-inch displays (17.78 cm), with one 7- and one 10.25-inch display (26 cm) and, in the Widescreen version, with two 10.25-inch displays. A head-up display is also available optionally.

There is a centre console too, which interacts directly with the touchscreen display and all your major driver assistance functions. This touch-based and input system will house itself in-between the driver and passenger seats with a black panel resembling that of the E-Class.

Surrounding the display are five air vents, which are beautifully manufactured and inspired by the world of aviation. The unique appearance inside is hand in hand with your overall driving experience, with ambience lighting available in 64 colours and 10 colour worlds dependant on your particular mood.

The new Mercedes-Benz B-Class is extremely practical too, offering copious amounts of space inside with comfier seating arrangements, more headroom and an increased front elbow width. With the rear seat folded down, the luggage capacity can reach up to a whopping 1540 litres.

Exterior

In the world of MPV's, you can be sure to stand out in your new Mercedes-Benz B-Class. With a long wheelbase of 2929 mm, short overhangs, a lower roofline and 16 to 19-inch wheels, the new B-Class transitions to a relatively sporty and dynamic appearance. This is largely due to the advanced front end which flows from bonnet to A-pillar through to the windscreen, creating the athletic shoulder of the overall vehicle body.

Similar again to its sibling the A-Class, the B-Class has trapezoidal headlamps with LED daytime running lights, available too with the MULTIBEAM LED headlamps - if you're looking for an exclusively sporty look. This up and coming luxury feature not only exhibits striking looks but also acts as a major safety feature.

At the rear end you can expect an emphasis on the two-part headlamps providing the width of the new B-Class, compact too with reflectors sitting on either side of the bumper. The bottom bumper section sits distinctively above the sporty rear apron, boasting a chrome trim strip. In addition to the B-Class's whole new sports makeover, is the large roof spoiler and high-gloss black spoilers at either side of the rear windows.

Technology

The new B-Class enters the market with premium features including seat climate control and multicontour seats with massage function, which were before set aside for vehicles in higher spec segments. The new ENERGIZING seat kinetics are particularly useful for passengers who struggle with back pain, though extremely beneficial for anyone's overall posture and general physical health.

The MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) multimedia system puts the new Mercedes-Benz B-Class in a whole different league. Just like the A-Class, the new B-Class can adapt on a personal level to the drivers' automated habits including the ability to conduct specific times in the day you may call your spouse. If you're sceptical about the unique artificial intelligence functionalities, you can take comfort in the touchscreen control display which is also accessible on the centre console touchpad and on the steering wheel controls.

The revolutionary technology doesn't just stop there. Your whole driving experience is enhanced through extraordinary 3-D maximum-resolution graphics which all appear in real time. Following that, you can benefit from the new and improved Mercedes me connect services, enabling you access to navigation functions from your smartphone including Vehicle Tracking - an extremely useful feature which helps you locate your parked car.

Performance

Complying now with new and improved Euro 6d-TEMP engines, the Mercedes-Benz B-Class range is more efficient and cleaner than its predecessor.

In total there are five engine variants - 2 petrol and 3 diesels available following the new B-Class launch. Dual-clutch transmissions are available exclusively with the new Mercedes-Benz B-Class. The range will include the new eight-speed 8G-DCT transmission (complimentary of the larger diesel engine) and a 4MATIC all-wheel drive variant too.

Making an exclusive entrance is the transverse-mounted version of the OM 654 two-litre diesel with 150 BHP and 190 BHP, stepped-bowl combustion process and aluminium crankcase. Generally, the new OM 654q diesel engine aims to achieve a lighter, more powerful, cleaner ride.

The alternative diesel engine comes with 7G-DCT dual-clutch transmission combined with 116 HP. And finally, there are two four-cylinder 1.33-litre petrol engines with the choice between 136 BHP and 163 BHP. Overall, each variant is worthy of a first-class drive with effortless torque.
