The All-New Mercedes-Benz AMG GT R Pro

The new AMG GT R Pro is the limited-edition top-of-the-range model from Mercedes' AMG range. It takes the sportscar trappings from the AMG GT, and is modified for even greater racetrack performance and feel.

Exterior

The new GT R Pro has a true sports car design and looks right at home on the racetrack. The sharp lines on the sides combined with the low body position, create a dynamic look that makes the GT R Pro look closer to motor racing than any previous Mercedes-Benz. The large grille and aggressive slanted LED high performance headlights give the car an imposing look and reflect its superb performance. The carbon fibre flics, diffuser, and roof add sophistication, while the AMG Performance 5-double-spoke forged wheels add to the premium appearance, with their titanium grey paint and rim flange with a high-sheen finish.

Interior

The new GT R Pro is brimming with quality on the inside. Lightweight AMG sports bucket seats, a V8 designed centre console, and the new AMG performance steering wheel add to the feeling that you're driving a race car. The 12.3-inch AMG instrument cluster gives the dashboard a clean, modern look and offers an entirely new screen design with the three AMG-specific display styles "Classic", "Sporty" or "Supersport". The Supersport mode provides the driver with valuable performance information, including motorsport-inspired prompts to shift up in manual transmission mode, enabling maximum performance. In addition, a 10.5-inch multimedia display allows the driver complete control of what and where key driving information is displayed. It also comes with COMAND online infotainment system.

Driving

The GT R Pro's lightweight body, featuring a carbon fibre shear panel, lightweight torsion bars, and Uniball bearings on the rear axle, is perfectly built for dynamic driving. In addition, the electronically controlled dynamic engine and transmission mounts were retuned for the GT R Pro for excellent agility and precise steering. The new AMG coil-over suspension enables the driver to adjust the dampers easily whilst driving, meaning they get even more control of the car's body dive and roll. A bolted steel roll cage inside the car increases the vehicle's rigidity and improves driving dynamics even further. Most impressive of all, AMG DYNAMICS provides driver assistance that enables high cornering dynamics and optimum traction, without the driver feeling like the work is being done for them.
