Introducing the Mercedes-Benz V-Class

Design and Practicality
A sizable vehicle like the V-Class is not easy to make stylish and attractive, but somehow Mercedes-Benz have accomplished just that.
Sure it was never going to be as sleek as a coupé, but the renowned class and style in Mercedes-Benz design is there for all to see. This is thanks to a large grille, angular headlight set-up and various aspects of chrome detailing to ensure the V-Class looks every bit as premium as a Mercedes-Benz should.
The overall design is helped by a choice of 18 and 19-inch alloy wheels, some of which are enhanced with AMG styling for a more attractive and dynamic look as well as a more purposeful stance.
Technology and Safety
The V-Class is really easy to get in and out of thanks to large front doors and rear sliding doors. The ability for different seating and even living configurations, depending on specification, is also impressive.
Seating for six, seven and eight is possible, depending on specification. The Exclusive model has luxury reclining seats in the rear, whilst the varying Marco Polo editions seemingly turn the vehicle into a compact luxury property on wheels; with a double bed, compact kitchen including sink, fridge and even cupboards; and even luxury decked flooring included, dependent on specification.
Elsewhere, cabin quality is excellent with high levels of slick design, plush-feeling materials, leather and brushed chrome. The V-Class interior offers a premium ambiance and a sense of true luxury refinement.
Engines and Performance
A pair of diesel engines power the Mercedes-Benz V-Class range. These are both in the form of a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder configuration.
They are called the V 220 d and V 300 d. The V 220 d produces 161bhp, whilst the V 300 d offers more power with 234bhp. These engine choices power the Standard, Long and Extra Long body specifications.
Both engines are accompanied by a 9G-TRONIC PLUS 9-Speed automatic transmission for smooth and seamless gear changes. The automatic transmission also helps with the efficiency, enabling the V-Class range to offer economy of up to 38.2mpg.
