Engines and Performance
Smooth and comfortable to drive, the standard comfort dynamic suspension allows great handling of the Audi A5. An option of sport suspension is available to higher trims, which curates to a more dynamic experience.
The engines available on the A5 provide excellent performance and increments in performance. There are three petrol versions, consisting of a 35 TFSI, which produces 148bhp, good for 0 to 62mph in 8.9 seconds, whilst returning up to 44.1mpg. Alternatively, a more powerful 40 TFSI is available which produces 201bhp, reducing the 0 to 62mph time to in 7.1 seconds, whilst returning up to 42.8mpg. The most powerful petrol is the 45 TFSI, which offers 261bhp, dropping the 0 to 62mph further still to 5.5 seconds, whilst economy will reach up to 37.7mpg.
Diesel alternatives consist of a 35 TDI which produces 161bhp, good for 0 to 62mph in 8.2 seconds and up to 54.3mpg. Finally, a 40 TDI completed the range and offers 201bhp. This enables 0 to 62mph in 6.9 seconds, whilst returning up to 50.4mpg.
