Introducing the Mercedes-AMG CLA
Introduced in the previous generation, the CLA AMG has proven a successful addition to the Mercedes-AMG roster. So, it is hardly a surprise to see it has returned, only this time it has introduced even more drama alongside even greater levels of performance.
The world of Mercedes-AMG is an extensive one that is also utterly brilliant. Regardless of what you may need from a car, the AMG division have something very special just for you.

CLA 35 4MATIC
The CLA 35 is considered the entry-level model. Yet, with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine churning out a remarkable 306bhp, you would be forgiven for believing this model is the complete opposite.
Styling is subtle compared to its more powerful siblings. However, touches such as the AMG-specific grille, assertive air inlets and AMG alloy wheels ensure the CLA 35 makes its presence known upon arrival.
Acceleration is rapid, with the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system combining with the powerful engine to get the CLA 35 from 0-62 mph in just 4.9 seconds. All this performance, yet up to 36.7 mpg is possible on a combined cycle, thanks to excellent efficiency of the turbo engine.
CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ / Plus
If you thought 306 bhp from a 2.0-litre turbocharged unit was impressive, then you will be simply astonished by the CLA 45 S, which produces 421bhp from a heavily tweaked version of the same engine.
Acceleration is breath-taking as you would imagine, with 0-62 mph taking just 4.0 seconds. Top speed has been raised to 168 mph from the CLA 35's 155 mph top speed.
There is a number of changes to the aesthetics, including 19-inch AMG alloy wheels with red calipers sat behind them. Inside also benefits from AMG performance heated front seats, as well as an AMG performance steering wheel with AMG buttons.
Despite sharing the same 421bhp engine as the 45 S, the CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ Plus boasts an AMG Aerodynamic package that enhances the driving experience. In addition, this model comes with Adaptive Damping System that tailors itself to your driving style.
