Introducing the Mercedes-AMG C-Class
With an incredible passion for racing and a heritage decorated in motorsport excellence, it was only a matter of time before AMG were involved with the iconic Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
The first example was born in 1995 and today, the AMG variant of the C-Class is undoubtedly one of the most sought-after practical premium performance cars available.
There are two variations of the Mercedes-AMG C-Class, the C43 and C 63 S, both of which are available with either Coupé or Cabriolet bodystyles.
C 43 4MATIC
Mercedes-AMG C-Class models mirror the standard bodystyles offered by Mercedes-Benz, only with added AMG flair. Design highlights of the C 43 include a distinctive front apron with striking air intakes, AMG side sill panels and an AMG diffuser-look rear apron, all the while sitting perfectly on 18-inch aero alloy wheels.
On the inside, climb into the AMG sports seats and the driver is greeted by a stunning nappa leather sports steering wheel, along with an optional 12.3-inch digital cockpit, which replaces the standard more familiar analogue dials. Brushed metal and soft touch plastics ensure the interior has a luxurious and hugely refined feel.
C 43 variants are powered by a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder engine producing 390bhp. Power is distributed via a 9-speed automatic transmission enabling 0 to 62mph in as little as 4.7 seconds.
C 63 S
The exterior design of C 63 S models raises the bar even further with even more aggressive styling touches, such as the inclusion of the Panamericana grille as well as 19-inch 5-twin-spoke AMG wheels.
C 63 S models also receive an upgraded interior, featuring enhanced AMG Performance seats which hug the body for a truly immersive motorsport experience. Various menus within the DYNAMIC SELECT system ensure the driver can toggle between enhanced driving modes.
Sitting at the top of the C-Class range, C 63 S models are powered by a larger 4.0-litre, 8-cylinder twin-turbo engine with 476bhp, again powered by a 9-speed automatic transmission. This enables the 0 to 62mph time to be as low as 3.9 seconds - dependent on bodystyle.
