Design and Practicality
Tailor-made for its electric platform, the EQS SUV possesses a striking aesthetic that is sure to capture the attention of all.
Its curvaceous exterior lines maximise aerodynamic efficiency and maintain the utmost in SUV comfort and space for all on-board. The attractive looks continue inside the cabin too, through use of the most exclusive materials to ensure you are getting a true Mercedes-EQ experience.
With a variety of configurations on offer, the EQS SUV allows up to seven people to experience electric mobility. The second row of seats can be electrically adjusted to suit all, whilst two additional seats can be utilised on the third row.
Alternatively, owners can capitalise on a staggering 880 litres of boot space in the 5-seat setup to carry plenty of luggage.
Technology and Safety
Encapsulating what the EQ range is all about, the new technology featured on the EQS SUV ensures it is future ready, with the centrepiece being the large MBUX Hyperscreen.
Spanning from almost A-pillar to A-pillar, the curved system houses the latest in on-board technology, such as Navigation with Electric Intelligence which determines the quickest route for your journey, taking charging points into consideration where required.
Other features include a premium Dolby Atmos surround sound system and ENERGIZING AIR CONTROL Plus, which filters and cleans the air that enters the cabin.
Mercedes-EQ prioritised safety within the design phase of the EQS SUV, carrying their Integral Safety principles onto the new architecture. A rigid passenger cell, special deformation zones, and modern restraint systems provide the pinnacle of accident safety, whilst a range of driver assistance systems feature to reduce the risk of collisions.
Range and Performance
Built on the new all-electric platform from Mercedes-EQ, the EQS SUV is available in three grades, each as refined and comfortable to drive as another:
- EQS SUV 450+ – 355bhp, 419lb ft of torque, up to 410 miles of range
- EQS SUV 450 4MATIC – 355bhp, 590lb ft of torque, up to 381 miles of range
- EQS SUV 580 4MATIC – 536bhp, 633lb ft of torque, up to 381 miles of range
The EQS SUV 450+ is the efficiency king, and whilst it may not pack quite as much of a punch as the other variants, it does offer the largest all-electric range, which is ideal if regularly completing a lot of miles.
When paired with the clever OFFROAD driving mode, variants with the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system are more than comfortable tackling trickier conditions, giving you further confidence when behind the wheel.
Charging
As one of the largest charging networks worldwide, Mercedes me charge can be used to charge your EQS SUV in the most convenient way possible across 300,000 European charging points.
Using a 200kW rapid charging station, you will be able to charge the EQS SUV's battery from 10 to 80 percent in as little as 31 minutes. An Eco Coach is seamlessly integrated into the MBUX Hyperscreen to provide advice on how to maximise the EQS SUV's charge and all-electric range.
The Combined Charging System (CSS) allows owners to charge their EQS SUV using direct and alternating current via the same connection.
